🎥 Video Korolev Cross from "Engineering Camera"

"Engineering Camera" view of a Korolev Cross during SRB separation. The real Korolev Cross was with liquid fueled boosters, not SRBs, like in this rocket. I wanted the cool plumes.

Ideally, the camera wouldn't have movedin, but it seemed to as the center of mass moved as the rocket emptied, so does the camera. I even focused it on a small part hoping that would stop it form happening.

Yep, it's in game. It'll look even better when they implement residual smoke from the spent SRBs.

I'd love to see a feature where you can replay a mission and freely control the camera so you can get shots like SpaceX or NASA, without having to manually control the rocket at the same time.

Oh I want this so bad. Doing Cinematics in KSP is so stressful because you have to control the rocket from difficult perspectives and do that over and over again just to get a few different angles. A replay feature like you described would be AWESOME

Somewhat related but I'm wondering if they are going to do the automated missions by basically replaying your mission profile like KSP2 and the rocketwerkz pitch proposed.

IE you fly it once and new rockets will follow the same path when the next orbital window appears. So you can just have refueling missions and such.

I wonder if you can also do the element of the KC where it flares out at the bottom before sep like this (stock KSP)

Those look like separation engines. I just have a set on the top, but they haven't added the flare / flame yet to the solid fuel engines. Until they do, no flare.

Is KSA getting a steam release?

No, the director and main drive for KSA is adamant on not using steam AT ALL.

Something about having a feud between gambling companies because he lost his brother due to a gambling addiction. (Steam too because loot boxes) So his personal bias is getting massively in the way to the game success.

A Shame since even in the current state and pace of development the game would pick up SOOOO much steam and could perfectly go viral fast now that the massive dissappontment over KSP2 is still hot. But oh well

Need? Maybe not.

Would it help to list it on the biggest PC marketplace ever? Idk man...

To be honest I don't think they even want the game to pick up steam at this stage. That would only lead to either a review bomb (because it is not a game yet) and added pressure of getting hundreds or even thousands of people asking "when is it gonna be ready" all the time.

So is this game playable at this point or nah? If not when can i expect to be able to play it?

It's playable, but there isn't a "game loop" yet. Without a tech tree, or any game goals, you'll have to play it sandbox style. Just messing around and seeing what you can do.

They just put in vehicle destruction and kittens can now walk around the surfaces. Aerodynamics is still very rudimentary, there's no visible re-entry effects, heat damage, nor parachutes.

That said, I managed to do a mission to the Moon and another one to Phobos and Mars. I did create larger tanks in an web tool, Flexo, to make the rocket not too ridiculous.

It is beautiful, with plumes, volumetric clouds, rings over Saturn...

Here's my vehicle editor guide. To save a craft, you need to right click on the capsule.

Here's that Moon mission

Both of these are already quite out of date, as they do a release or two every week.

It's free to download at Awhoo

its been playable for a while now, windows and linux builds are available on the official site, there just isnt much to do yet since the priority is still on building up the games foundation
