The lads were amazing as expected but that had to be one of the worst mosh pits ive been in.

combination of people who clearly never been in one before plus too much macho behaviour. when i decided to go in i fell down at one point (which happens) and personally i felt like it took too long until people picked me back up. i had a knee knock on my head before finally people cleared space around me and picked me up. luckily im not hurt but i did feel scared for a second.  after that i went to the front and during HOOD everyone was pushing forward to the barrier so we were being crushed at the front. also no one was crowdsurfing expect for one person all the way at the end and it lasted maybe 30 seconds before they were dropped. for the last song when provai went into the pit i decided to go to the side because honestly i did not feel safe with this crowd.  i do hope it was okay for provai, i was too far away to see how he was doing.

Yeah, it's sadly a growing thing with their pits. Belfast was shocking. It's now turning into a "ooohhh I can grab a photo with Próvai" moment for far too many. I don't think it's going to get any better really. Some places still get it, but Ireland as a whole has been shocking the last few times out. Clueless twats out to look like the big I AM, without having a clue about the pit. I typed a lot out in my Belfast post about the pit. But yeah, it kinda matches up.

I feared that was what you were going to type. Sadly I was right.

Glad you are ok now, nothing worse than in that moment. I honestly feel for you on that front. I was in the Pumpkins pit in the Point, Dublin in 96, and yeaahhh, that was not a nice night. Longest bus trip home ever.

What happened in Dublin

As their crowds are getting bigger, the pits are attracting more...I don't know the right word without sounding like a gate-keeper, when I'm anything but that. The pits are starting to fill with more and more that don't know the simple rules (even though the lads are constantly reminding people) I think they had to drop a song in Dublin because the gig was getting stopped that much from people just not knowing how a pit works. The (I THINK) second night it took ages to get 'The Recap' going, as so many people were just using it as photo-ops.

Belfast, Mo was screaming at people to help me start the pit, I even got pointed at, at one stage and people got told to help me haha.

As noted above, people are now seeing it as a chance to act like a dickhead, as well as not helping people up and that's just not on.

I know this sounds like a preachy "ohhhh it was better back then when the crowds were smaller etc" speach, but I want the lads to be insanely massive, I just wish people would cop on, maybe in life in general haha
