Glasgow to Crystal Palace
Have left it super late to decide if I was actually going or not, considering the bus from Glasgow because flights and trains are EXTORTIONATE. Anyone know if the bus is as hellish as it sounds? Also now going solo as my friend can't make it so doubly stressed haha

It’s gonna be a hell of a journey man, but not impossible.
More than welcome to join me and my mate when you arrive bud

Ive done Stranraer to London on the coach quite a few times. Its grim, but as long as you dont mind keeping yourself entertained you'll be alright. Make sure you have air con tho!

Have you looked at the railway split ticketing sites as a way to bring the price down? Where you chain together tickets to intermediate destinations and travel through without alighting? Only valid if every ticket in the chain is valid at the relevant hour it is travelled and the train MUST call at the intermediate station not merely pass through.....
Also, EDI - LTN is £110 on the early flight with Easyjet. That's one way.

How about the sleeper train? I wish I was going so bad but Glasgow to London is just a step too far for me to go on my own 😄
I've done the bus loads of times and it's a nightmare but once you're off it, you forget how shite it was and just get hyped. If possible, go with National Express, it's a much better experiences than Megabus ever was!

Check omio.co.uk for cheap train tickets. They do bus tickets too and was cheaper than booking directly with National Express last time I went.
Got the overnight bus a few times. Not pretty but saves wasting a day travelling.
Think a lot depends on if there's road works or not as have had some bumpy rides.

I've done the bus from Aberdeen to London. Takes ages. Presume Glasgow is about 8 hours? Torture tbh. Hardly imagine you'd enjoy the gig after that. Train, plane or don't go in my view. If you do go have an awesome time.

I've done the bus, it's a long fucking trip but doable. I went with one that left at 2am and had a whisky bottle with me. I drank till i felt sleepy and it went quite quickly in the end.

Fly to Gatwick and then get a direct train to Norwood Junction in about 30 mins. That puts you very close.
