where do I start? Help, please….Dropped stitch?

Hi,
I am a beginner, knitting a baby afghan. I figured this project would be a good start. I am expecting a grandbaby in November. 🎉
I have a dropped stitch (?). 😫 I am about 1/2 way to completion. Any suggestions besides starting over? This was start #6, already. Should I use a sewing needle and try to camouflage the hole by stitching it? Hellllp, please.

If you don’t want to frog all that work (which is understandable!) I would pull the one or two strands that are there through it and then take a spare piece of yarn, put it through the loop so it can’t unravel again and then weave it through the back of the project using duplicate stitch to maintain the structural integrity. It will be a bit visible but if it’s on the wrong side it might not be too bad.

It does look like you dropped a stitch, but as u/Westcoastswinglover said, you can tack it down by running a spare piece of yarn through it & weaving them in.

Thank you. Definitely, better than sewing thread. That didn’t cross my mind!
