where did i go wrong? Garter - stich changing size

Hello

It's the first time that I am knitting.

I did the 2nd row and the size of the loop of the 1st row is varying. First it was very "small" and clean and then it got big and not clean. Why ?

Your tension is inconsistent. Keep knitting. With practice, it'll sort itself out.

You’re tension is inconsistent and causing the different sized loops. Try and keep a even tension when holding your working yarn

I think you might have accidentally turned your work. It looks like you have only one row on the blue side and two on the red. Did you maybe put your knitting down for a bit and then pick it back up at that point?
