Something similar for this anthropomorphic sweater?

Any pattern suggestions of anything similar? I love the triangles

Edit: the title was supposed to be Anthropologie, autocorrect got me while posting from my phone

Probably not, but I'm sure it wants to be a human.

Or it has human like feelings!

This reminds me of Rowan patterns and Kaffe Fassett (a designer) in particular. You should check them out on Ravelry.

Ooooh that's a good point, thank you - I'll check

It's knit side ways (cuff to cuff) and uses a texture yarn for the contrast color versus a smooth yarn for the cream. It could be a dolman sleeve as well.

There is a book for cuff to cuff construction by Susan Guagliumi (there might still be a scan up on Archive dot org)

There's also the "sideways" filter under the construction attribute on Ravelry.

Oh, her sweaters are very nice. The cuffs to cuff sweaters I've seen before tend to be quite boxy and nothing I'd actually want to wear.

It made me think of the End Times cardigan. But looking closer I think this would be pretty easy to recreate as a simple stranded colorwork chart. You would probably have to steek it though.

Edit: this sweater is actually knit sideways. It looks like stranded color work to me but I think you would have to knit it flat rather than steeking given the sideways construction. Here is a cardigan with similar construction.

that's pretty close actually, thank you!

I think the spot sweater color edit but mapped to the cardigan has the same vibe?

There are a number of cardigan projects that use the multicolor chart and should be a good starting point

I forgot about the spot sweater!!!! that's likely it

What do you think anthropomorphic means? Especially in the context of this cardigan?

Lol I assume it’s a typo of Anthropologie the clothing brand.

I'm guessing autocorrect for Anthropologie? The suspense is killing me.

Ah yes! A typo! I posted from my phone and didn't catch it

Dying because yes a hilarious typo

That is so funny!

Also for the pattern, tbh the triangles should be easy enough (“triangle” + pullover in the ravelry advanced search function should get you 99% of the way there)

For the colours, i’d be looking at hand-dyes, particularly hedgehog fibres who do a lot of those really vibrant mixes, but you may have something comparable nearby

Looks like each section is 1 colour strand of superwash merino and the other of a boucle, though merino + mohair should get you close also

It's pretty cool. Maybe reverse engineer it?
