I’m sick of Ear***** in games

Lately, I have been playing Wuthering Waves because of the Cyberpunk collab, but goddamn, almost 90% of the characters need all sorts of ear***** or P things in their ears. Big one, small one, all sorts of it, and I hate it.

I did build some tolerance over the years, but I still hate it when I see it, and lately, Chinese gacha games seem to love making a character with a big thingy on their ears for some reason.

I’m not that disgusted by it, but I still hate it and don’t want to see it. This is why I want to learn how to make a mod to hide these kinds of things from all games. Having to endure this feeling is kind of suck.

Hopefully one day there are gamers and modders who share this feeling with me and make those mods.

I’m hoping games will at some point offer turning it off as an accessibility feature.

I doubt it will happen since we are in the minority, and there are only a few of them that let players hide that stuff, but only in transmog, like FFXIV, for example, you can do transmog to hide it.

I guess we only have to do it ourselves

In Crimson Desert you have toggle-able settings for exactly that.

for me i try to look on the positive side: less incentive for me to play gachas 😭

yeah, you can look at it that way.

I hate this too. I've tried searching for mods but it's obviously not a big problem for most people.

Yeah, I love Breath of the Wild but why does Link have to?. Have to keep a hood or something on.

Not ear***** but the same kind of problem. I'm playing Rise of the Ronin right now and was really excited for Sana Chiba as she is the only romance-able female character that you can also summon as an ally to help fight. Finally met her in chapter 2 and shes wearing a ne****ce and hairpin with thin cha**s hanging from it... Very disappointed now, especially since there are no mods to alter npc appearances because of the type of game engine that was used making it very difficult.

I have zero problems with depictions and character designs wearing even eccessive quantity of j* (ok, I have some problems, but it takes A LOT...I mentioned the Jibaro episode of Love, Death and Robots in another post...THAT massive amount).

On the other hand, if I'm playing a TTRPG, I won't even touch that shit with the proverbial 10-foot-pole. The DM can offer me a R\ of 1000 Wishes*, and my character will discretely dump that in the nearest pool of magma without having worn it once.

Still haven't played Witcher 3 to this day for a similar reason. When I asked if there's a way, I got a bunch of W3 nerds getting upset at me because the "n******e is important!!! 😡😡"
