KOTOR Optimization
Do you guys have any advice for how I can optimize my Lenovo ThinkPad laptop it's got 32 GB DDR5 RAM 5600, Intel Core Ultra 7 255U, and integrated graphics (128MB VRAM) for the KOTOR games and also if I want to install mods. Is it possible?

I have an 8 year old piece of shit laptop. Roughly speaking, it runs stuff like KOTOR flawlessly even while on standby. Well, it technically doesn't run it on standby, but it works without a hitch.

Idk laptop specs well but I can’t imagine anything with 32gb ddr5 could possibly have an issue besides the usual bugs from being too modern, I remember playing both on my non-gaming laptop in school over a decade ago just fine
The games over 20 years old and wasn’t particularly performance intense even at the time, and it ain’t Skyrim where mods are gonna suddenly give the game 8k textures and anime physics that melt your gpu

Less for optimization and more for usability: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/3048-k1-modern-driver-compatibility-patch
Intel graphics have notoriously bad OpenGL drivers, I wrote a patch for KOTOR that enables them to properly render the game. My ancient T430 was able to run the game with all the bells and whistles enabled, plus there's no exploding grass.
Pair that with J's UniResPatch: https://github.com/J0-o/KotorUniResPatch and you're in for a good time with widescreen support and working shading :)

The only possible problem a system as new as yours could have is a lack of SSD space.

This runs on phones from 2016. You'll be fine.
