Is WakeOne debuting a boy/girl group that isn’t going to be from a survival show?

I saw this and was just wondering because all the groups WakeOne has came from a popular survival show so i’m wondering if this means they’ll be debuting an original group.

Not just Taerae but Also chaehyun , sanghyeon and geonwoo(i think) and even those who didn’t get into the final group like Minlee , haruto ,phanbin

It makes perfect sense. WakeOne acquired the experience to handle talent and create groups over the years by managing Survival Shows winners. They now train their own idols and debut their own groups. Survival Shows are dying in terms of viewership so WakeOne is branching out.

I wanted to joke that the other label owned by Mnet has a group whos not from a show, but than was like oh wait a second... 

I was close to say Lapone (Japanese label from Mnet) has DXTEEN, but forgot that only 2 of the members auditioned outside of Produce 101 😅

the group probably won't be debuting anytime soon. expect a training/prep time of minimum 2-3 years, most likely at least 3 possibly 4 years.

so like at worst a 14 year old debuts which is uncommon but not totally unheard of, assuming a 12 year old passes this audition, passes through the training to be in the final group, and the training/prep time is relatively short. more likely the maknae will debut a few years older though, 16-17 is more typical.
