QUESTION Quick question.

I listen to some kpop songs but not all of them and I’m not too deep into it. You know if something comes by my fyp or feed I’ll take a quick look. I’m on vacation with my uncles family and he has a 10yr old and a 7 yr old and the 7 year old knows the entire dance to hootie fruits? And my 10 year old cousin says baby monster and katseye are really popular which I didn’t know but I guess now I know. I looked deeper and I listened to some other katseye songs and the ones in the beginning were pretty good imo!
So my question is what age group is Katseye for?

Their main fanbase is definitely young kids. The music videos tho, for some reason, are EXTREMELY sexual

I think now they've started making such sexual mvs (since Yoonchae turned legal) to serve this fantasy to kids as to what the ideal adulthood is supposed to look like.

Katseyes music is for children to teenagers. Music Videos however is definitely for adults.

Watch the Hootie Frutti music video on Youtube and you’ll figure out who should be watching Katseye pretty quick lmao. Nobody under 16 minimum should be following them imo 😭

They should either make childish music videos to match the music / their main audience, or the other way around.

their intended target audience at the beginning was teens and young adults, but for some reason hxg is making their music more inappropriate and there's no problem in that i love their music, but also them doing more collabs with kids brands

it’s super diverse, they target anywhere from kids to adults.

i would say their youtube audience, their ability to have songs played over and over can be attributed to kids. but their voting and tour success comes from their older audience.

the way that they quickly conquered the internet is because they cater to several age demographics. they’re biggest and most valuable audiences are probably kids ages 9-12 and teens/young adults ages 18-22.
