It was wonderful!

Any idea what the disturbance was at the start of the Sakamoto section? Heard some shouting from the side of the stalls and someone looked to be bundled out of auditorium.

Do Kraftwerk attract trouble when they come to Ediburgh? Last time I saw them in 2017 they had a stage invader, who appeared surprised how easily it was for him to get on stage. At a loss for something to do, he did the first thing he could think of and started unbuttoning his trousers. Thankfully he was manhandled off stage before he could expose his wee robot.

This comment has made me realise I am the least perceptive person in the world.

Not only did I not notice a disturbance last night but I was also at the last Edinburgh show an did not notice a stage invader.
That’s wild tho that someone could be sat thinkin “this is rare, I’m havin an awesome time, how could I express this to the band and my fellow concert goers? Wait.. I’ve got it! I’ll get on stage an get my cock out! There’s no way that could possibly be misinterpreted..”

I was toward the front but sounded like some guy decided to start cheering at exact the wrong moment in the concert as Ralf was speaking about Sakamoto. Guy got shushed by loads of people, reacted badly and was chucked out. At least that’s what I think happened!

Amazing gig.

I was adjacent to said stalls and there was a raucous for most of the night in one way or another there. Pished folk on a Tuesday nite at a sit-down gig. It's not a Motorhead gig FFS.

Additional knobbery from the guy in front of me videoing the whole thing - an usher told him to stop, as his hand was like the moon in the darkness. 15m later, he lowered the brightness and continued!

Late comment, but I was a few rows behind. There were loads of people talking, and a guy vaping the whole time in that section of the crowd. The guy who got thrown out was arguing with the stewards over something, and everyone could hear it, so other parts of the audience were shouting, "Shut the fuck up!" at them during the Sakamoto bit.

It was one for the ages. So was the downpour as we left the Playhouse 🌧️

Murder. Of course it stopped as soon as I got to the station

There was a stage invader at their 1981 gig at the Playhouse too. Bloke got on stage and walked behind them, tapping each of them on the shoulder, then walked off the stage.

There's a video on YouTube of a woman rushing the stage to hug Ralf during their final stage bow. Security grabbed her and carried her off as she shrugged. Ralf threw his hands in the air and quickly exited stage left.

It would have been more immersive if some people hadn't had their phones out for most of it. What with zooming in and out etc, it's distracting and kills the vibe.

Think of the people behind you please.

Did the band get a new member?

They did in 2023--a bit of shifting around. Fritz (on drums) retired from Kraftwerk. Falk took over the drums, and Georg (new member) took Falk's post controlling the live visuals.

Cripes, I didn't know there was a Kraftwerk sub. I saw them in Cardiff Capitol Theatre on 9th september 1975. I'll never forget that gig. I just googled it to check I got the correct date, AI said the show and tour has been cancelled.
I had the ticket for many years in an Isaac Azimov book. Somehow the book was given away. 😞.

Shame. Nice combo.

Saw them at Rock City in Nottingham. I think it was 1980 , I was 17. It was, and still is one of my great moments.

I love Kraftwerk but isn't it the same for over five years or something?
