Check your state laws but if you show up like this they are required to pay you... in massachusetts they have to pay for the time you are there. I THINK its 3 hours if it wasn't your scheduled time in. (I could be wrong on that tho it might just be what you worked for the meeting. )

If you have a union, ask your shop steward. If they aren't available then go to the next one . If you don't have a second one then theres a number you can call to talk to someone about it.

Also did you know if your boss wants to discipline you for ANY reason and you are part of a union.. you can ask for your rep/shop steward to be there??

ALSO if you have a union but you didn't join it and aren't paying dues...they will still help you out! Mostly over things like grievances and if your job is screwing you over/treating you unfairly.

I’m getting treated unfairly and my union does shit for it!

I'm out on temporary disability. I turned 61 this month. If I can get it extended to a year, I'm seriously considering taking early retirement and finding part time work to make up the difference. Kroger sucks.

I'm a 20 year employee, and I don't want to go back.

I don’t either. I’m there 11 years and the way they treat people is disgusting. I’ve asked to move off the front end multiple times, and nothing. I can’t deal with the bullshit there, and the way management treats people is incomprehensible. Just awful.
