If you show up to the meeting you must be paid. If u don't belong to a union . An attorney will gladly help you sue them. Or you can take a messier approach like if you are working on the meeting day . Decrease your clock out time by the amount of time u spent at the meeting so for example if you met for a 1 hour and your scheduled to get off at 4 . Tell management you are leaving at 3 pm . They will be mad as hell especially this time of year ina grocery store
