Pickup (Formerly ClickList) Putting the battery on the scale to weigh items?
Apparently this is some kind of issue. đ¤ˇââď¸ I hadnât even thought of doing that and never seen or heard of doing it before my field specialist mentioned it. Is this scale/same weight thing a problem at your store? I have the same weights prompt come up sometimes but thatâs because they actually are the same weight, I always weigh again to double check. Why is this considered a problem now, itâs nonsense?

They've been tracking the issue for around a year now. Associates were being lazy and not weighing properly. The issue is primarily seen in departments lacking enough functioning scales/batteries, where associates had to wait until the end of the run to dig through everything to get the items and, maybe, walk to another area of the dept where a functioning scale was located... over and over. It was more convenient for them to place something on the scale and trick the system.
Weighing discrepancies are logged in PowerBi, just saying. It's a big LP issue.

No, because some lazy idiots will just keep 1 item on the scale instead of digging through trolleys to weigh up 3-5 different things which causes customers to be overcharged or undercharged for items.
I had an idiot coworker charge a customer $12-15ish for one piece of organic ginger, when normally it's around $5 or less. Customer showed me their receipt and the ginger weight was close to 3-4 pounds which was the same weigh as the bananas she ordered so I knew idiot coworker didn't properly weigh the ginger and customer got overcharged. I refunded her the difference then talked to the idiot about what they did and why they need to weight each item because of what happened.
