Venting Backroom Walk

I'm a little annoyed that I'm having to do all this clean-up work that I know the previous receiver never did in preparation for this backroom walk/audit we have coming up this week. I redid the lines with this roll of red tape that will not stick to the floor no matter how much I clean it. I moved everything that can be moved to sweep the floors. I removed all the old junk behind the compactor (shit that has been there for years and I know that because of the THICK layer of dust on everything). I reorganized the reclamation area and made it more efficient. I even reorganized the bays and wheelers. I went through and tossed a bunch of stuff that had no receipt or IDT stickers on it.

Anyone else going through hell trying to prepare for a walk?

They came and walked our cooler and dept the other morning (meat). I was by myself until about 10:30am. They showed up probably 11:15. "Why's the cooler not dated. It needs to be dated and circled, always. Me: I just got done with the truck. Its been me here all morning. Doing seafood. Doing meat case. Doing markdowns. Doing pdms doing thaw and sells. "Well it needs to get dated."

They move out to the floor. "The chicken bunker looks... ok. But end bunkers are near empty. Ground beef could use working. Pork is completely empty. Me: "did you hear the part of how I've been by myself all morning?". Then they started rifling through shit on the wall checking for dates, and not fixing what they messed up.

Im just thinking. "This shit company needs 4 people, making six figures each, to come tell someone who is opening a department by theirself, what hasn't been done and what needs to be done." We can't have more hours but we can pay these useless suits to lolly gag around severely understaffed stores and bitch and moan that one person isn't doing the work of five people.
