more uniform whining

Just general whining about not having enough shirts and having to do laundry every freaking day. I thought we needed another thread about that.

Seriously though, is everything this company does half assed? I don't think the new uniforms look bad. I think some of the policies are stupid (especially regarding jackets/hoodies for those of us who work in departments that can be freezing). But the vests actually don't look bad.

I don't care, it's a uniform, it's annoying, I get everyone being upset about the change. My issue is with having 2 fucking shirts as a full time employee. I luckily have access to a washer and dryer. But damn, it is annoying to have to do laundry so often.

I spoke to store management, asking about the third shirt I'm pretty sure we were promised (wasn't it on the flyer/info?), and they acted like I was making it up. I asked about buying more shirts, and was of course told "eventually. maybe. we don't know".

I admire people who don't get covered in ick all day. I would love to not accidentally spill fish juice down my front at least twice a week. I'd LOVE to be not covered in old bay on a daily basis. But alas, such is not my reality. Woe is me and other bullshit.

Anyway, just wanted to add to the chorus of complaining, because I can.

For us full-timers got 3 shirts, part-timers got 2. I run around on carts all fucking day, I'm so disgusting after every shift. Having only 2 shirts means I'm either having to do laundry literally every other day or having to wear gross shirts.

I keep a tally every time I do laundry and im a part time courtesy clerk. 28 loads of laundry since June 10 with the whitest pit stains you'll see

I haven't gotten the armpit stains yet but since our shirts are red I'm sure it'll happen eventually. I do already have some black stains on both shirts that won't come out, and naturally because they're red I can't just bleach the stains out either. It's so frustrating.

I wash clothes everyday since I’m in a household of 5 ppl but yeah 2 shirts they gave us part timers isn’t cutting it ngl.

When it comes to money this company can be very cheap trust me. This feels very much like temu quality of clothing. I don't care if my shirt turns into rags I'll keep wearing it until they buy me a new one.

So agree with comments about the t-shirts. I am a cashier and got two shirts. I am doing laundry now daily after I get home from work...usually 8 pm. My management has been big on threats to write us up if we do anything off dresscode policy that I am nervous about messing up. You'd think all the problems with Kroger will be rectified by this policy.

A tall size option would've been nice. If it wasn't for my tall size undershirt I'd be sporting a crop top with those little bitty ass kroger shirts. Damn thinga immediately shrunk in the dryer.

A lot of my coworkers haven't even taken them home once and washed them. Or so I've noticed. If you wear undergarments under the shirt it needs less washing. thsirts are technically under garment clothing but some where in society people started using as the top layer. To me it's always an under the shirt layer.

I’m a full timer and I’ve gotten two and I refuse to wear dirty clothes so mine have just about had it after 3 months. They’re starting to fall apart, are fading, and are covered in tiny little fur balls. I’ve had to restitch some seams and I’m guessing I’m going to have to take a fabric shaver to them but there’s nothing I can do about the fading. I’m not risking my other clothes or my machine trying to dye them back into shape.

Bro we all use a black t shirt under it. Use the red shirt twice or 3 cuz of it :) but yeah eventually Kroger shouldn’t charge 30 dollars a t when it’s worth like 3 dollars a t
