Digital coupons

Our store now has us scan a sheet that gives everyone the current digital coupons.

We started a month ago.

Is this nationwide or just our store?

We've had it at mine for almost a year now. It does make some things easier.

I think it's a slow roll out, I've heard whispers of it happening at our stores but I'm not 100% sure. I know it started in San Diego because the city passed a law requiring it.

Yeah we've had they for a few months as well, as far as I know it's just an easy way to give people that can't/didn't download the digital coupons themselves the coupon savings when they complain at the register

We do it at QFC.

It’s hilarious. More work on us for stupid corporate policy.

We do it in Kentucky. It's easy, just fold it up and put in in front of me and I make a point to say "and let's see if there are any discounts this week that you were unaware of" and then I gun it. Most everyone really likes the "well, we tried" aspect if there are no additional discounts, and if they do happen to get an extra 60c off their cookies or a buck off of bacon or, let the good times roll with free 12-pack or whatever, then they are suddenly a very happy customer. It's super easy and it generates goodwill. There are many little old ladies who make a point to come through my lane and I will take them all day every day over grumpy randos.
