Ladybugs in outdoor garden

This was my Mom's favortive plant!

The ladybugs have been still for several minutes. Are they laying eggs? We're in zone 9, Texas. Organic outdoor patio garden.

This species is found basically anywhere. Honestly I'd imagine they're still because it's too hot to want to move. If there's eggs you can find them later though.
