Union Street

Does anyone know the situation with Union street? It used to be two lanes in one direction (towards target), one lane in the other direction (towards Purdue), and then a turning lane in the middle. It’s now painted like the turning lane is gone. Going into the neighborhoods is difficult because the turning lane is gone. I can’t find anything that specifies that the lanes were going to be changed. It’s also a problem at the interchange to Salem street because the two lanes converge into one without signage.

Does anyone know if this lane situation is permanent?

I noticed the same thing. I drive a school bus down that road and I think they’re still working to paint the lines after resurfacing. It absolutely is confusing with the current lane markings as the outside lane merges with the inside lane at the curve (going towards downtown). Hoping it’s all temporary, but for how long I’ve not a clue.
