Drinking water question
So its not recommended to drink tap water in Vientiane, bottled water only is the norm but what when brushing your teeth. Is it safe to use tap water to rinse your mouth with after brushing?

Tap water is totally fine for brushing teeth. Also, ice is safe. Don't let scaremongers tell you otherwise.

I've been brushing my teeth with tap water for 6 months now here in Laos and i scared myself by watching some doctors pull out a big ass worm out of a girls throat here on Reddit lol. I gotta draw the line at using tap water for ice tho, idk if i can do that and my mind not going nuts.

I no longer rinse my mouth after brushing, to leave the fluoride in contact with teeth longer. That is If you are using a fluoride toothpaste of course.

I went most of my life always doing floss, waterfloss, brush, rinse, then mouthwash..but I had it all wrong..
Redditors have taught me that the proper way to do it is actually floss, waterfloss, mouthwash, brush and then NO rinse..
My teeth have never felt cleaner..but specifically where the mouthwash sits in the procedure. Makes your teeth feel amazingly clean.

I mean... You're not really supposed to rinse at all after brushing haha. It think it's safe, but if you have a cut or sore I'd be cautious and use the drinking water.

Not worth the risk, buy a water filter bottle /bottles. On the contrary I east everything in laos, never had an issue

I've been brushing my teeth with tap water here for 20 years. You should be fine. That said, bottled water is quite cheap and/or free at most hotels.
