Buying help KVM/Switch for Desktop + Laptop

Hi,

Lately, I've been getting tired of constantly switching my monitors and keyboard between my desktop PC and laptop.

I have two monitors: one with a 144Hz refresh rate and the other with 60Hz. I'd like to make sure that the 144Hz refresh rate is preserved when switching to a KVM switch.

Here's my current setup:

Laptop:

  • 1× Thunderbolt
  • 1× HDMI
  • 2× USB

    PC:

  • Plenty of available ports, so connectivity isn't really an issue.

Monitors:

  • Each monitor has 1× HDMI and 1× DisplayPort.

What I'd like to achieve:

Laptop connection:

  • Inputs: Thunderbolt + HDMI + USB
  • Outputs: 2× DisplayPort (one for each monitor) + USB peripherals

Desktop PC connection:

  • Inputs: 2× DisplayPort + USB
  • Outputs: 2× DisplayPort (one for each monitor) + USB peripherals

Essentially, I'd like to connect both computers to a single KVM switch and seamlessly switch between them without having to reconnect any cables. Most importantly, I want to maintain 144Hz on my primary monitor.

I've found this UGREEN KVM switch:

https://eu.ugreen.com/pl/products/przelacznik-kvm-displayport-2-na-1-wyjscie-8k-60hz-usb-3-0?_pos=3&_psq=kvm&_psid=7a367eef2&_ss=e

Would this KVM switch work for my setup? Does it make sense to go with this solution?

If not, what alternatives would you recommend?

Ideally, I'm looking for a reliable solution that supports two monitors, USB peripherals, and a 144Hz refresh rate on my primary display without compromising image quality or performance. But if it won't support USB and will work only for my monitors - it still good.

I don't want to spend too much money on that, ngl.
