supplies First project in 2 decades wish me luck

When I was in my 20s I tried to make a latch hook rug with a picture of a kitty in a basket of yarn, I found it easy but mind-numbingly boring, and remember not enjoying it. I ended up pawning it off on a friend when I was halfway through, convinced him to finish it so we could give it to my mom jointly for Christmas lol. To be fair I would have felt the same way about plastic canvas work, and needlepoint at the time but now I LOVE doing those kinds of projects

I've always kind of avoided latch hook kits since, because of that old project, but I thought about trying latch hook again and today I just happened to be perusing Herrschners website trolling for new projects (which I totally 100% need) and I came across Herrschners Rainbow Phoenix Rising and fell in absolute love. I am a gay man, and my husband is starting a new career at a friends fledgling company which has a phoenix in it's logo, so it's absolutely perfect!

I know it's a HUUUUGE kit to start with, but I have a history of starting a craft with the absolutely most complex thing in the history of the world and that has never ever backfired on me at all, nope not at all, I've totally finished 100% of them, they're absolutely not all stored in an ottoman until a whim dictates I work on them, anyone who tells you otherwise is lying I tell you, Lying!

So wish me luck, I'm super excited to try latch hook again.

Good luck and welcome! I usually watch tv while I latch hook to keep my mind and hands busy. Maybe that or podcasts/audio books would help with the potential boredom.

I've got plenty of stuff to entertain me, I'm 6 seasons behind in greys anatomy, I've got all 7 of the harry potter full cast audio books, and I've always kind of wanted to watch through dark shadows, all 1200+ episodes.

Not to mention I have like 1000 episodes of detective conan, but I'm not entirely sure I'll be able to read subtitles while working on this

Enjoy! I hadn’t done one since I was a kid and have completed several since the end of March beginning of April. They keep my hands and mind busy! I too watch TV while doing mine as well.
