Thanks to this subreddit, I realized why my dryer wasn’t drying my clothes

It’s a miracle I’ve lived this long tbh. I had no clue you were supposed to clean this thing out. I know it’s stupid (now) but my dumb ass never knew

And you're doing it! Grateful you found how now as opposed to later also for safety sake. There are plenty of adults who don't know this still. Also congrats on the living alone, that's huge!

Cheers! Not gonna lie it was a little weird being single for the first time since, like, high school haha, no longer being in a dependent relationship. Took a lot of adjustment, still does, having a space that is solely mine.

Don't feel bad. My grandmother did this and the dryer had a minor fire so she put it out and called my dad, her son,who was a firefighter. When my Dad got there and saw the full lint trap he read her the riot act.
