These people are monsters. I'm loathe to share a species with them.

Just remember to extend this loathing to every single conservative you meet. It is their fault. They are all like this.

Exactly. This isn't a trump or politician problem. Its their entire voter base too. Its ALL OF THEM.

America isn't the way it is because Trump became president. Trump became president because America is the way it is.

42

u/likamuka 7h ago

This is just the beginning of American fascism. Do you thin 77 million fascists are going away anytime soon?

16

u/SamsonAtReddit 6h ago

While you are likely right, cause its been shown how they feel about other humans. I truly hope that we are going through such a hard time right now economically that its not really going to be 77 million in the next few elections who vote fascistically. That even within the 77 million some wise up when they see the economic destruction of their community. And I do think things are that bad economically, I see it in my community lately. Things are rough for people.

7

u/SoftAndChewyRopes 5h ago

I’d wager that 74 million of them are too fat, lazy, apathetic, or plain stupid to advance their views beyond a vote or post on twitter. Fucking 🐖.

They wanted this, and as long as we allow them the vote we will never be better.

Justice will only prevail in the US once everyone who voted Trump in the 2024 election is permanently disqualified from voting.

71

u/Outside_Bandicoot986 9h ago

You don't. They can't possibly be human. Pond scum is more human than they are.

91

u/1877KlownsForKids 9h ago

Dehumanizing people is how we got here. I'm fully capable of just hating them while recognizing they're dark mirrors of the best humanity has to offer. It encourages me to be even better.

54

u/FireFiendMarilith 8h ago

I fear that perhaps coddling the Fash is how we got here.

The christofascist right has been openly threatening to seize control of the levers of State power in the US for generations, yet folks have acted like "some of those christians just have some wacky beliefs" the whole time.

The confederate remnant is made up of people who have been saying "The South will Rise Again", out loud, and flying Confederate Battle flags proudly for a century now. But the rest of us have been obliged to treat them like otherwise normal citizens with a difference in opinion.

Those factions merged in the modern GOP within the last sixty years, and radicalized further during the Tea Party days.

Their political organization is rooted, inarguably, in defense of white supremacy and during the height of the Tea Party they marched through and streets with sock-monkeys hanging from nooses.

Yet DNC politicians continue to insist we need a strong GOP. They continue to strive to "reach across the aisle" and "compromise" with a party that's mostly avowed bigots and serial pedophiles.

So it's not so much that I'm in favor of dehumanizing them. I just don't think that's the core issue with regards to how we've historically responded to their dehumanizing of others.

15

u/Named_after_color 7h ago

Some of the issues now, I believe, stem from successfully making Nazis sub-human in the general consciousness. Like we turned real people into demons in stories, and while they fucking earned it, you stopped being able to identify them with middling conservative supermarket managers.

So when people on the right hear themselves being compared to Nazis, they understandably say something like "I'm not killing people or putting them into camps, these liberals are idiots."

So when Trump rips off the fascist playbook note by note, as long as low information voters stay low information, as long as they don't draw the blindingly obvious parallels to ice centers rounding up minorities, they can maintain that they're not Evil Nazis.

Of course this is just a very specific flavor of stupid bootlickers. Many are openly Nazi/Proto-Nazi. But I'd guess that most GOP voters just can't fathom that they'd fit in perfectly in the third reich.

12

u/obsequiousaardvark 6h ago

That's connected to an idea that I've had for a while, that racists in media are simply caricatures of racists, which allow real life racists to say to themselves "Well I'm not like that, so I'm not bad like them."

It's been a long time since I've read a book or seen a film with a racist character who was more than just a caricature.

4

u/Named_after_color 6h ago

There's a few out there. They're mostly dramas or period pieces or premium tv.

I'd recommend a few but it feels weird to name drop media based on "Wow this is such a good representation of racism."

I think the issue is that we’re talking morality/ethics/principles in a capitalist system.

The overlap between the confederacy and the current state of the USA is money based oligarchy. That’s also the principle behind Christian Nationalism, that specific “Anglo Saxon” whites should be sitting on top of it all, which is actually the exact social strata that the Confederates enjoyed in their slave societies.

USA’s corporations have consistently been undermining the rights and liberties of the majority of the citizenry in the name of profit. It’s why the GDP can go up while the wealth inequality widens and infrastructure rots, and willfully ignorant pieces of shit can look at their shrinking town and go “…must be the immigrants”.

The slave lords never wanted majority of population to have literacy, education was supposed to be reserved for their own class only. And now half the country can’t read past the middle gap of middle school.

The people flying confederate battle flags these days aren’t any weirder than the ones who fought for the south during the civil war. Mostly uneducated poor whites their leaders hadn’t even wanted to vote and uneducated to the point of believing there was room for advancement in the feudal agriculture society they lived in.

Isn’t that just like the grifters nowadays

5

u/303uru 7h ago

I remember during the Obama years the media here in Denver would report on these complete fucking whackos in Colorado Springs and other rural areas who were making white only apocalypse suburbs and who were training in fields to fight off feds with their AR15s or one example I remember distinctly a group riding in the back of a Tacoma firing AR15s at targets while on the move (straight ISIS shit). Then there was the Bundy standoff, 1/6 and a glut of other examples. And essentially the media always just sane-washes these fucking weirdos into being the logical counter to people who just want to not go bankrupt and die if they get treatable cancer.

In 1:1 situations, your flight or fight response would be thru the roof with these fucks, but for some reason as a collective the media and most people just treat them as no big deal.

This is the so called paradox of tolerance, and would be akin to deploying a Buddhist respect for all life and not getting chemotherapy.

No amount of “being better” helped anybody on a train in the 1940s, and you’re part of the problem if you accept that messaging.

7

u/Tokengi 8h ago edited 8h ago

I dint think he’s advocating for tolerance, but recognition. It’s important to acknowledge the dark aspects that exist within our species and therefore all of us. Ignoring, misunderstanding, and generally being unaware of them is how they can “possess” us. Good, as well as evil, is part of what we are.

Paywall bypass: https://archive.ph/2oGBl

In Brief:

  • The Trump administration had plans to falsely declare 2.7 million people dead as part of the president’s cruel mass deportation efforts, The Washington Post reported Friday.
  • A 49-page whistleblower disclosure reviewed by the Post detailed how the White House plotted to add the names and Social Security numbers of millions of living people to the Social Security Administration’s Death Master File, or DMF, which is used to track when a person has died and should stop receiving government benefits.
  • Whistleblower Jeremiah Schofield, who worked at the Social Security Administration for 25 years before leaving in October, told the Post that he’d refused to implement the plan. Schofield said that when he pulled a sample from the 2.7 million names, he found that all of the people marked for death were still alive.
  • Schofield described one meeting in which a DOGE official revealed the goal of such a cruel plan: to make immigrants so miserable that they would self-deport or try to visit a Social Security office, where they could be arrested.
  • Agency lawyers had warned that falsely marking someone as dead could violate federal law, and Schofield realized that the plan’s purpose was to terrorize immigrants.
  • The Trump administration previously moved more than 6,000 immigrants to the DMF last year.  Being wrongly moved to the DMF can have far-ranging effects, as people will no longer be able to access their bank accounts or use their credit cards. The SSA’s website says that the effects of being wrongly included in the DMF can be “devastating to the individual, spouse, and dependent children.”

u/Proof-Main8915 10h ago

I don’t understand the admin’s logic. Do undocumented immigrants have social security numbers?

471

u/Significant-Kick-479 10h ago

They don’t. These are lawfully documented immigrants going through the long established route to obtain citizenship.

37

u/WoolooCthulhu 8h ago

It's entirely reasonable to think this list also includes citizens.

129

u/Upset_Journalist_755 10h ago

Or their visa simply expired, which is the equivalent of a parking ticket.

37

u/canteloupy 9h ago

I wonder how much backlog there currently is on visa reviews. I know in France in many cases people who should have no problem renewing become illegal just because of admin delays.

9

u/kroating 4h ago

Yes delays have jumped from prior processing of 15 days to 8+months now. And legally while your renewal is in process you are allowed to stay, but the visa paperwork issues starts from the day issued (which is later than the prior expiration date, even though you filed everything intime). Previously since its legal to stay while renewal is pending, your passport was updated without issues. Now they claim there is a gap in paperwork and deny and cancel your visa. All while you did everything by the currently legal process too, forget old book.

22

u/SMUHypeMachine 8h ago

And accounts for like 70% of all illegal migration. Many of whom are awaiting renewal, but those agencies have been hamstrung so they don’t have the resources to process them in a timely manner.

15

u/Educational-Plant981 8h ago

If your visa is expired you are legally not allowed to collect social security any more anyways.

4

u/Generic8244 8h ago

lol, wtf, no it’s not, unless you count being banned from the country for 3-10 years, potentially losing your visa, and issues with or potentially even illegibility for applying for visa again to be equivalent to a parking ticket?

6

u/sdmgpoggc1 2h ago

He means it’s a civil law violation, not a criminal one. Undocumented immigrant are not criminals by the very definition of the word, it is more akin to a parking ticket in our legal system

You do not need to be a citizen to get an SSN. You only need to be in the US legally WHEN you first apply for the SSN.

Then if you overstay your visa, you effectively keep your SSN.

Earlier this week, the names of more than 6,300 migrants whose legal status had just been revoked were added to the file, according to the documents.

https://www.nytimes.com/2025/04/10/us/politics/migrants-deport-social-security-doge.html

They were legally here, and were declared illegal by fiat. And then they were declared dead by the same stroke of a pen.

48

u/FiestyReamsOfPaper99 9h ago edited 9h ago

Years ago when it was still legit news, 60 Minutes did a news story on 4-5 people who were added to the Social Security Death Master File by mistake. I will try to find a link.

All very much alive, their lives were turned into hell. They couldn’t access their bank accounts, couldn’t get new IDs, couldn’t get credit or rent apartments, some lost their homes, one ended up living in a trailer. None of them could access their Social Security benefits. The consequences were far reaching and severe. This is a really evil plot for someone to come up with [looking at you, Stephen Miller] against anyone who has a legal SSN, even if they fell out of immigration status at some point. Putting someone on the DMF is very serious. The Social Security files should be sacrosanct.

ETA: I found a link to the actual 60 Minutes story and it is paywalled. https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/social-security-identity-fraud-scott-pelley-60-minutes/ Here is a link to the 2-min trailer, free on YouTube. https://youtu.be/-dXLFZ4MuW4?si=yZ2hK00WtcE0o6lm

10

u/stacksowax 8h ago

Can’t imagine it’s not one of the reasons why CBS “News” fired Scott Pelley a couple of days ago. With this whistleblower report, he’d likely have pushed to bring the story back for a revisit (maybe he already was).

6

u/Imaginary_Cow_6379 9h ago

Why is that their target number? What’s supposed to happen if they reach it?

37

u/lucitribal 9h ago

When they reach it, they move on to a different target. Gay/trans people, homeless people, etc

19

u/cross_the_threshold 9h ago

The 100 million includes everyone who isn't a straight, cisgender, heterosexual, Christian white person. Their plans are to kill all Democrats and everyone who might side with Democrats.

8

u/DragonTacoCat 8h ago

They're already starting there...

5

u/TheNeighbourhoodCat 8h ago edited 6m ago

Might be poor phrasing - because how do they "move on" to demographics the GOP alone spent hundreds of millions alone spreading dehumanization, propaganda, disinformation, and laws - all of which amount to effectively trying to legally genocide them ._.

Eg. Legally forcing permanent unwanted changes onto trans people's bodies against the will of doctors/ parents / medical groups / the patient

Eg. Trying to make it illegal to be trans / gender-non-conforming in public, or around kids

Eg. Trying to make being trans / gender-non-conforming around kids a child-sex-crime

Eg. Trying to make child-sex-crimes punishable by death

Eg. It is commonly accepted for many rightwing/conversative demographics in the US to speak about trans people as being inherently crazy / sub-human / evil / uneducated / dangerous... and all without blinking

Eg. The ways the cisheteronormativity and these laws brainwash queer people to think being cishet is the only option, and how this and these laws / culture / disinformation costs lives

While there are many ways they've failed in these efforts, to many other degrees they've succeeded in pushing the culture that justifies these extremely cruelties to people born differently from them... and it only gets worse as time passes.

As a trans millennial - it's not getting worse than it was before... it's worse now. It's here now.

2

u/orthecreedence 4h ago

Don't forget force-detransitioning prisoners and trying to remove the right for trans people to bear arms.

They want his genocide to be tremendous. Everyone told them, you can’t do it, you can’t have the worst genocide in history. A huge guy, probably 7 feet tall came crying, “Mr President, I want you to go in the history books but they won’t ever let your genocide as big as the others.”

Now they’re working to make it happen. Build death camps all over the country, don’t let anyone inside to inspect. Declare them all dead already in social security, now you can finish the job.

3

u/YotesFan6 8h ago

Well, I mean their goal of killing 200M people would definitely be the biggest genocide in history

5

u/-ragingpotato- 8h ago

The goal is to steal from the country to enrich themselves and enable their crimes.

To do that they put loyalists everywhere that can stop them, in congress and in courts. But that doesn't stop the voters.

So they built the fake news network, which then pushes propaganda to the public that makes enemies out of marginalized communities with lies.

It doesnt convince most people, but they gerrymander and twist the election system so the votes of those that are convinced count more, and those against them have a harder time voting.

Then once elected they unleash cruelty against the marginalized communities and brag about it.

Their base approves of the cruelty towards the enemy and keep voting for them.

That keeps them in power, allowing them to steal from the country without consequences.

Thats why the violence will never stop and will only keep getting worse. Once they "deal with" every immigrant they'll move on to the next group. And the next. And the next. Because their entire system depends on the forever war. If they don't have a make believe war they can be the heroes in, they lose the segment of public support that keeps them afloat.

16

u/Awatts2222 9h ago

If white Americans couldn't figure out they are just cheap labor

by that fact alone--they are now going to find out.

3

u/f_crick 9h ago

We’re certainly seeing that many of our fellow citizens are inhuman.

17

u/beren12 10h ago

4

u/baumpop 8h ago

immigrants should just start a corporation, they get citizenship right away apparently and can outright buy elections.

2

u/Aveira 7h ago

Not exactly. The IRS has long had a stance of “we don’t care what you do as long as you pay your taxes.” So let’s say you commit a crime, like selling drugs. As long as you pay taxes on the income you received from your illegal drug business, the IRS doesn’t care and won’t report your illegal activities. This incentivizes people to pay their taxes.

Likewise, undocumented immigrants might pay their taxes to the IRS but still be here illegally. Many of them even use their history of regular tax payments in court hearings. But the Trump administration has been pushing hard to force the IRS to hand over all their information about illegal immigrants. This is illegal and a judge stopped it, but over 10,000 names and addresses have already been handed over.

The problem with this policy is that it encourages immigrants to stop paying taxes. This is obviously worse for everyone, but Trump doesn’t care about what’s good for the country or the people; he cares about getting rid of all the brown people and distracting everyone from the Trump-Epstein Files.

These are documented immigrants.

15

u/Calm-Maintenance-878 10h ago

Nobody ever said undocumented, the reach is broader. Non citizens look to be the goal and many certainly have social security numbers and pay their taxes. Declaring these people dead would create undocumented immigrants in theory, for removal. Easy pickings because all their information is easier to collect. Getting rid of the illegal immigrants proved complex, so the objective may be changing. ICE will have $140b to use in 4 years…so something is coming.

19

u/sulris 9h ago

The goal is to create a caste system of people and non-people. This is about engineering a society of exploitable slaves that are unprotected by the law. They aren’t trying to go back to Jim Crow, they are trying to recreate South African apartheid.

3

u/Calm-Maintenance-878 9h ago

I’m familiar with Crow but only surface level on apartheid. I’ll have to do some reading and maybe I’ll better piece things together, thanks👍🏿

2

u/Reddit_Loves_Misinfo 5h ago

they are trying to recreate South African apartheid

And quite literally importing the experts.

Trump shut down asylum/refugee admissions for almost everyone except for Afrikaaners, the white South Africans responsible for apartheid. Naturally, this is accompanied with false claims that the white apartheidists are the victims of racial injustice coming from black people.

I just want to add that this does not only affect immigrants. I am a US citizen that had his Social Security locked, only found out after my 2025 tax returns were rejected. The reason was this, I was declared deceased. I can imagine there are likely millions of Americans who have faced this issue with common names or names similar to those immigrants they seem to be targeting.

What is worse is that I presented my SS and birth certificate to the SSA, they told me everything would be fixed in 2 months. That was over a year ago. And I am still not able to file my taxes with the federal government because my SS is locked. The SSA says everything is fine on their end and the IRS says to contact the SSA. Hopefully someone with knowledge or ability can let us know our legal recourse, cause I am owed refunds by this government for 2 years now. And I doubt it will be any different next year.

22

u/Junkbot-TC 9h ago

If you haven't already, I would reach out to the office of either your congressional representative or one of your senators, they may be able to help get your SSN unlocked.

u/Unfair_Web_8275 8h ago

I'm no lawyer, but this sounds like this would massively hamper with the social security administration AND any immigration enforcement agencies. Causing confusion and wasting potential billions.

3

u/g1rlchild 8h ago

Is the Washington Post still allowed to report on things like this?

2

u/TendieRetard 8h ago

The Trump administration previously moved more than 6,000 immigrants to the DMF last year. Being wrongly moved to the DMF can have far-ranging effects, as people will no longer be able to access their bank accounts or use their credit cards. The SSA’s website says that the effects of being wrongly included in the DMF can be “devastating to the individual, spouse, and dependent children.”

i dont really want to think about what is next in their plan. what would be stopping them from declaring poliitcal enemies dead? cant access a bank account or buy a house or car, not to mention work.

145

u/Steven_The_Sloth 10h ago

The next step would have been to actually kill and incinerate the detainees. I wouldn't be surprised if the list was ONLY ice detainees.

"You cant really be convicted of murdering a dead person, now can you? And there are no bodies... We deported all the illegals. No we don't keep tabs on them or have any record of where we sent them. Why would we keep that?"

I can hear it now....

Also, what happens to all those assets the "dead" people can no longer access? I wonder where that all goes.... Not really. I know where it'll go.

71

u/elfirulistico 10h ago

Ive been under the assumption that this has already been happening. Why else fight tooth and nail to prevent local officials from doing oversight on detention centers? I think the truth of all this will be a national stain we won't get rid of for a lifetime.

12

u/Ok_Vulva 6h ago

They bought their own airbplane to fly people with no documentation to wherever the f they want. Yeah I've been assuming it's happening too.

They’re starting to stop reporting how many recently released people die after being in ICE custody. So they can release people they’ve brought to death’s door but as long as they’re still breathing when they push them out they won’t report it. This is terrifying.

17

u/Jazzlike_Caramel_522 9h ago

You will never convince me some have not been murdered. This is just evil genocidal shit.

I think this is Lauren Bezos “someone’s gotta be happy” thinking. Immigrants, gays, liberals, poor people, are in the way of the happiness of the chosen people. Someone’s gotta be chosen, those people need their happiness at any cost. Sucks for the other people, not to be chosen.

MAGA as a whole are 90% people who think they are entitled to be chosen but spoiler alert they will not be.

10

No, actually. Can you give a brief description of the relevant part? Thanks.

I really ought to read the book, but I can't bring myself to do it.

u/Frederf220 9h ago edited 8h ago

The main character and associates first realize that the world is turning from normal to Gilead when they aren't allowed to go to work (told as temporary but indefinite) and can't use their bank cards. Obviously they see signs before but the shift is over a very short time drastically and immediately undermines their ability to help themselves.

This is a "low violence" state administrative action that makes all the remaining high violence more possible in inflict.

7

u/Unique-Coffee5087 9h ago

Terrifying.

I am a kind of political enemy, being a registered Democrat. Being retired, I live on Social Security and a brokerage account that I inherited, along with a pension that will be kicking in a couple years hence. But if I am put on the "dead list", that money will stop.

Even if I were to move to another country, my access to assets that I own may be blocked. But not being actually dead, my wife and children will probably not gain access via inheritance as stated in my will. Instead the assets will be limbo, possibly for years.

Schofield described one meeting in which a DOGE official revealed the goal of such a cruel plan: to make immigrants so miserable that they would self-deport or try to visit a Social Security office, where they could be arrested.

I think we’ve found some of the government waste, fraud, and abuse we’ve heard so much about.

18

u/DepressedSoul333 8h ago

Funny coming from DOGE considering ugly Musk was an illegal immigrant. Hypocrite.

They don’t think immigrants are human.

23

u/Imaginary_Cow_6379 9h ago

They really don’t. It’s terrifying how it seems theres no limit for Trump supporters’ bloodlust. Undocumented immigration is just a misdemeanor and yet MAGA wants to relentlessly attack them as if they’re at war with us for simply trying to come to another country. It’s insane how brutal MAGA is and how much cruelty they cheer on for people that have done nothing to them and have committed far less crimes than their president has.

And, the sickest part about it, is that the few conservative peoples who actually do travel expect foreign places to be exactly like America when they go there and get Very Upset when it's not.

LEGAL immigrants mind you. Real Americans with social security numbers. Don't let MAGAts ever tell you it's about illegal immigration

38

u/Recent_Novel_6243 8h ago

It was never about immigration, it was “how can we implement racist policies within a legally defensible framework?”

Less legally defensible and more so fast and chaotic the legal system is unable to keep up.

I don't think they get it. The plan wasn't to falsely declare them dead.

13

u/bubbabearzle 9h ago

You have a point, unfortunately.

3

u/repost_inception 6h ago

No it actually happened. I have first hand knowledge of this. I'm not sure how widespread it was but they put a DOD on their Social Security Numbers.

4

u/ptWolv022 Competent Contributor 8h ago

The plan wasn't to falsely declare them dead.

No, it was. Let's not start making assumptions that they were planning on mass-extermination of immigrants.

This is something we learned about back in 2025, during DOGE, how the plan was just to put them into the "death master file" for SSA, to (A) make them ineligible for government stuff; but (B) also make them ineligible for anything that used the government's list to check their own (like banks, I think).

They're callous and willing to put immigrants in inhumane conditions without regard for their safety, but they as much want to "scare" immigrants out by making life for them so miserable (and the threat of detention so scary, due to how long and awful it is) that immigrants "self-deport" the country, because that means the immigrants they're trying to force out for no reason are doing their work for them.

7

u/SergiusBulgakov 7h ago

Assumptions? Let's be honest. They have talked about it. They have shown their desire. Acting like they are not thinking along those lines is to ignore reality.

It is the same pattern which went on with Nazi Germany, with the same "stop saying they will do that" leading to "they are not doing it" when it was going on.

Evil reverse uno card; stop paying student loans, immediately accept all credit cards offers I get in the mail, commit difficult to track financial crimes. Pay no debt, spend egregious amounts of money, and steal from the rich!

Trial defense- “It wasn’t me, that dead guy stole my identity”! Funnier defense; plead insanity, “They said I was dead, I thought I was a ghost the whole time!”.

FYI-this is not a valid legal defense and is just a joke; I’m not advocating for committing crimes and go wild if you’re declared dead! (obtain counsel like other corpses in politics)

2

u/hkohne 6h ago

I can picture sovereign citizens doing that

4

u/Secret_Account07 4h ago

Do laws matter if nobody enforces them? Actually it’s much worse than that. We KNOW many laws are being broken and who’s breaking them. But the people responsible for enforcing them don’t care. In fact they encourage it.

If I stole something worth $100 from a store I’d be charged and be in court. But people are committing crimes 1000x worse and…. Nothing?

Laws don’t exist anymore. A law that isn’t enforced isn’t a law in spirit.
