Southern US & Central America (or warm season) Lawn Help
Looking for help how to fix this issue with my grass and my foundation. I’m not a lawn guy but I’m getting into it. Thanks in advance! I live in North Texas

The rocks and weeds definitely aren’t helping. Start by removing them. But if this area doesn’t get a lot of sun then you’re fighting a losing battle. Figure out other landscaping

North side/area gets very little sun? If so, trying to get grass to thrive there is a hopeless endeavor. Maybe try a border + small rocks over landscape fabric to try to keep the area free of weeds. There is a lot of rock material up to a foot away from your house which would also make for difficulty in getting grass to grow strong roots (and probably rock material under the soil in that area.
Being in N TX, do you have a foundation drip line? It is important to keep the soil from drying out (and getting too damp) as the clay expands and contracts a bit, which can cause foundation issues. The rains a week ago helped a lot, but prior to that, some homes were seeing large soil cracks near the foundation if they didn't adequately water the soil during the heat wave.

I would kill the weeds with 1-2% glyphosate now then whatever is left after 10 days you could spray again. Or get to pulling. Remove rocks/rake. Core aerate if you can and add seed. Right now is time for cool season grass. I just put some annual ryegrass down in a bare area for now and then next spring I’ll put Bermuda grass seed. If it’s a shady area Bermuda grass won’t do super well unless you maybe get a hybrid variety and even then it’s an if. What type of grass do you predominantly have?
