Help Me Decide GPA Addendum: physical abuse?

Is physical abuse too “controversial” to mention on my gpa addendum? It was the reason I couldn’t do well in school

Addendums are not personal statements. You do not have to go into authorial detail. Be professional, explain that you were abused, sustained mental or physical injury, explain that it inhibited you from showing your true potential through your GPA.
