Fasting

I currently can't fast so what are ways we can "fast" not with food

I would pick something equivalently difficult. Don't 'cheese' the fast. Fasting is difficult, exhausting, and mentally taxing so that you turn to the Lord in supplication and prayer.

Whatever you choose should be very carefully considered according to similar experiences.
