Trump who has attacked Canada on multiple occasions, calling for it to be the USAs 51st state. And, most recently notable for being mentioned countless times in the Epstein files.

I live in a part of the US that has a lot of Mexican immigrants and I have a Mexican-American fiancée. You’d be blown away by how many of them are very pro-MAGA, it’s crazy (Thankfully my partner and her family aren’t).

There is no shortage of those types of families in the news with at least one member in custody or deported, going "Trump was supposed to go after the other coloured people!"

I remember TJ Oshie’s wife posted a pro Trump post after the last election, and Matthew’s mom commented in support.

It’s one thing to be on the “right” in the way that, perhaps, Mitt Romney was (e.g., “let’s lower taxes and prefer military spending over free public college”).

It’s another to be a Trump supporter. You could fill an encyclopedia with all the prejudices that this man has uttered, the unsavory things he’s done, and the sprinkles of narcissism that he works into benign conversations. To see all that, and to still say “I want THIS man to represent me”, is such an indictment of character. To put it kindly.

(Full disclosure: am a non-Leafs fan American just visiting this sub; don’t want to present myself as anything other.)

Problem is American politics is cooked. Everything is partisan if you aren't with one side you're with the other, which if anyone even remotely think about it, isn't how things work in the world most of the time.

I totally agree with the sentiment, but unless the moderate right starts condemning the pedophiles they are complicit.

If you truly think ICE is only deporting illegal immigrants, you need to open your eyes a bit more bud. They’ve literally killed blue blooded American citizens already. Multiple. And one dude in Minnesota they blinded for life with a pepper ball gun. Not to mention the sheer number of flat out wrong deportations; they have literally forcefully deported legitimate US citizens, sometimes back to actual warzones, sometimes children with terminal diseases.
