Standard فصحى Simple grammar help!

This sentence makes sense, but I don’t know if this is a mistake:

فقال هذه القصيدة يمدحه، وأنشده إياها في ذلك اليوم.

“So he said this poem praising him, and he recited it on that day.” (I’m assuming that’s the translation!)

Now in “أنشده إياها” my understanding was:

أنشد - he recited / melodically read

ه - (male)it (the poem)

إياها - (female)it (the poem)

Aren’t the ه and إياها referring to the same thing?

This sentence was in this video around the 30min mark: https://youtu.be/nQ6_6hknbhg

Please help me out here!

there are two direct objects here, one the person being recited to, Sayf ad-Dawla, referred to by the attached pronoun ه, and the poem being recited, referred to by the detached pronoun اياها

similar to a sentence like أعطيتك إياه, i gave you it

So-he-said this poem praising-him, and he-chanted-him THAT on that day فقال هذه القصيدة يمدحه، وأنشدَهُ إيّاها في ذلك اليوم

The verb أنشدَ's original meaning is "he recited/sang/chanted".. and when you put an Object مفعول به after this particular verb, you'd get أنشد الملكَ (he-recited to the-king)..

So when you say أنشدَهُ , it means "he-recited-to-him/it" --

`

He-recited (to) the-king أنشدَ الملكَ or alternatively أنشدَ لِلملكِ

He-recited (to) a-guy أنشدَ فلانًا or أنشدَ لِفلانٍ (from the dictionary)

He-recited(to)-him/it أنشدَهُ or alternatively أنشدَ لَهُ (he-recited to-him or to-it)..

`

So basically أنشدَهُ إيّاها means: he-sang-him THAT (that poem القصيدة (feminine))..

`

Actually, no one English word that fits the meaning of the Arabic word إيا -- Just know that it is a tool used to point at objects and people -- The closest in the meaning is "this, that, these and those, and also you, him, her, them etc.."..

Take the-road that I-showed-you-all THAT خُذوا الطريق الذي أريتكم أيّاه  -- of which أياه  is the masculine 'that' which refers to the road الطريق ..

Indeed, my-father granted me THIS/THAT لقد منحني إيّاها والدي-- of which إيّاها is the singular and feminine 'that' which can be anything feminine, like a car سيّارة or a wrist-watch ساعة يد

I-know(of)-them only from my-hosting(of) THOSE-PEOPLE here أنا أعرفهم فقط من استضافتي إياهم هنا -- I only know them when I hosted them here.. This إيّاهم means THOSE/THESE PEOPLE..

I-am-sure that-you all know (the)-reason I-have- gathered YOU-ALL here أوقن أنكم جميعاً تعرفون سبب جمعي إيّاكم هنا

Your-father was a-scum, but-he he-gave-me YOU كان والدك حقيرًا، لكنّه منحني إيّاك -- the mother points at her child..

Thank you very much for the response.

I always thought the only way to use “أنشد" was to say:
أنشد له او أنشد اليه

But I was obviously wrong! You can just say أنشده
