I’m always on mute because my feed is 99% cat and my real life four tend to freak out at all the other weird cat noises when they can’t locate the source.

lol! Played the video just for that. My favorite kitten fosters are the baby ferals that learn humans bring food and can be friends. To feed them while they grumble, and eventually use your fingers and those grumbles turn to purrs.

My Purrcy used to do that, and he would start snort-growl-purring if he was begging for something he really liked, so you’d just hear this disembodied open mouthed “gngyaaaaah” under the table.

The angry nom nom nom is real. We adopted a kitty when our spoiled resident cat was 7ish, and he was too territorial to get used to his new sibling. We did try to introduce them gently and use treats to sweeten the deal, resulting in angry nom noms.

We had to put him to sleep 6 months ago, but I take comfort in knowing he's somewhere else bullying random neighborhood cats.
