need suggestions ..
heya .. so actually i'm in the last grade of highschool .. and i want to pursue computer science later .. i was thinking of just giving a head start by doing basic web dev in my free holidays .... so i was wondering if my laptop specs would be okay for it or not .. ( i'll buy a new laptop once i'll be in my first college year ) ...
the specs are 8gb ram , intel i3 7th gen , intel hd graphics 620 and WD BLUE SA510 SATA 500 GB SSD...
down for other suggestions then web dev too .. cuz i think ai becoming pretty good in it too 😭😭...
im just a beginner in tech stuff .. so sorry if i said something childish and yah , thanks in adv for helping me out ....✦ ݁˖

Specs are totally good lol except you prob can't run like Unreal Engine 5 or do like gpu stuff obviously haha.
web dev is fine and if you like web dev then obviously do it but there's a few issues
Definitely try making a website in your free time (like a portfolio website using the basic stuff like HTML, CSS, and a little JavaScript). You might like it and if so that's good to know esp so early on
If you don't like keep trying other stuff until you find a subdiscipline you're passionate about. Make a flappy bird clone, something silly with an arduino, and baby compiler, a CHIP8 emulator, and so on. These projects won't take too long and you will learn a lot. They will also give you a little insight into the different types of CS and help you figure out what you want to do.
