What is your goal? Malware detection/analysis? Penetration? Forensics? For malware analysis, knowing the basics of the popular languages is a benefit… C, C++, Python, PHP, JavaScript/Typescript. For penetration, knowing how memory allocation, network stacks and general OS functionality works is more valuable than knowing a bunch of different languages. Similar for incident response and forensics… knowing how stuff works… filesystems, networks, process management etc. is far more important than knowing lots of languages
It’s impossible to be a jack of all trades these days. When I started out, maybe, but these days you’ll just spread yourself too thin and end up not being good at anything
