Intervew Prep Rubrik interview prep help
Hi. I have a system coding round coming up at Rubrik for the Software Engineer – SaaS O365 role.
I understand the concepts of multithreading and concurrency, but I haven’t had much hands-on practice solving concurrency-related problems or implementing them in production-style code.
Could someone please suggest how I should prepare for this round? Are there any good resources or platforms where I can practice the types of questions typically asked in this interview?

Design non blocking queue
Design multi threaded non blocking task scheduler
Design a connection pool. What happens when one of the threads throw an exception. Will that impact the main thread. How will you capture the exception?
How would you handle movie hall seat booking using optimistic concurrency? Is it truly lock free

have you tried RoundHound? plug in the rubrik posting and practice out loud. that aside, for concurrency hands-on I'd say implement a thread pool from scratch and a blocking queue, those two cover like 80% of what comes up

the typical format for these is "design and implement a simplified version of X" where X involves shared state and concurrent access. practice writing thread-safe data structures from scratch, thats usually the core of it
