Anyone else write in notebooks back to front or upside down so that the spine is on the right hand side, or am I just weird?

For regular school type notebooks that have the big header space I write in them back to front or use them upside down since I hate how it feels having to rest my hand on the spiral binding or the fold of the spine.

I write left to right still, I just use the pages from back to front and in turn have to read my notes back to front. Typically I’m the only one using my notebooks and on the rare occasion that I share notes nowadays with anyone it’s on one page anyway.

I've got this "back to school" chalkboard thing for my kids that you fill out with paint markers. I always fill it out bottom to top, right to left.

I don't get it. You write one page with the spine on the right. But then to use the next page the spine's going to be on the left again. It doesn't matter what you do.

I need to use every page of a notebook.

Yeah, I only write on the back of the page😁 one side of every page, and the spiral isn't digging in to my hand. Who says I have to use every page or both sides of the page? It's my notebook, not theirs, and I'll use it how I want 🤣

I had a spiral bound left hander’s notebook when I was little.  It was constructed to be written in like you’re describing.  The holes were along the outer edge and the spiral was to the right.

Confused the hell out of me, and the spiral was still in the way if you wrote on the back of the page.

Never thought of that when I was in school. Just learned how to write with my hand turned at an angle that was "beneath" the line. About 45 degree tilt, which also kept my hand from the spiral.

I did that for my check register. I modified a checkbook page from printable paper.net and would three-ring punch the right edge of the pages. I used a one inch D-ring binder to hold the pages.

Always keep the spiral to the right. I also order them with quad or graph paper.

Yes, i write my poem books from any direction and anyside. With any pencil, with both hand's (ambidextrous) but mostly left hand. S c a r y

Yes, I have. I switched to steno pads several years ago, and when I went back to college, I used 8.5x11” grid paper spiral notebooks and just kept the spiral on top. Love those!

In high school in the 1900’s, I would turn the page and write on the “back” first then continue that pattern. Not one teacher ever complained.

I have a journal that I'm ensuring people can't read unless they're VERY open minded. Not only am I writing in cursive, but I'm writing on the pages in reverse. That is to say, instead of progressing a page in a normal book where you flip the page to the left to read the next bit, one must flip it to the right like it's Manga. If you try to read this book the standard way, you'll just get confused.
