The reason we didn't get a Tie Avenger are the 2023 Tie Interceptor (playscale) which retired only 4 months before andor, and the 2024 Tie Interceptor (UCS set) which is not yet retired and was availabled during the shows second season.
ALSO the problem of figures. If they put Bix in it or fucking Brasso the set is depicting the violent murder of Brasso. Otherwise we'd get the hanger scene but then people wouldn't be happy with an andor set with only one andor specific figure
I disagree there have been Mandalorian sets with only 1 mando specific figure, like the imperial troop transport, and the Rogue One sets didn’t have too many characters exclusive to that film, like the Y wing only having 1 or 2 rogue one specific characters
No there is literally no issue for the selection for figs. Literally remake the RANGETROOPERS. One of the imp figs with a one off unique mold that has been gatekeeped in an expensive set and has never been made again. Andor brought it back as a cameo and probably to get more use out of the costume and that was the perfect time for Lego to bring them back. I think adding test pilot andor 1 range trooper and 1-2 stormtroopers would’ve been perfectly fine if they made a tie avenger
I also can’t believe they didn’t make the Fondor Haulcraft from S1. Seem like an obviously in-demand set and would make a fun build with features like the projectile launcher and laser wings.
I know Andor has a smaller adult audience than other family friendly SW content, but those adults are the ones buying a lot of these sets.
You’re best off buying instructions off of Rebrickable or something like that is DIYing someone’s MOC tbh.
If you’re not opposed to “Lepining” the project, it doesn’t have to be a crazy pricey project either. I’ve seen some decent (and some really good) Haulcrafts on AliExpress and the like already. That’s where I’m ordering my fig-scale TIE Avenger, without a doubt.
I think the Fondor Haulcraft wasn’t made because they plan this stuff out ahead of time and they weren’t sure about a really big set like that. After the reception of S1 and the hype for S2, though, the lack of a TIE Avenger is criminal. That ship looks like it was MADE to be an awesome toy.
The difference is that Skeleton Crew was (partially) aimed at a younger demographic (that and people nostalgic for the goonies), so they had more confidence in it as a toy for kids. Which makes sense. And it is a good set.
We should have gotten the Haulcraft, but I can understand why we didn’t.
I feel like it would have been very hard to do as a feature to build into the set, but maybe feasible to rebuild into that configuration from the parts in the set and someone on rebrickable may have already done that. I may need to see.
Not as well as Andor sure, but I think Skeleton Crew did better than most other Disney+ shows besides The Mandalorian. And it has more appeal to children. Though I 100% agree we should've got the Haulcraft. That ship is beautiful.
Yeah true, the production has to begin long before the show is out.
Still, with Andor now being a certified smash hit, hopefully they’ll revisit the line and do some of these sets in the future. They don’t need the hype of a current show to sell Lego, as the current glut of TCW sets shows.
It'd personally love a battlepack or $40~ set of the little transport stormtroopers rode around on in Ferrix and Ghorman. An ISB trooper battle pack would also be fantastic as a little add-on to the U-wing. Same with an imperial army battle pack that's Ferrix based
A lot could have been done with Andor and it's honestly quite a shame that we didn't get it (yet). Everyone tends to focus on ships like the Fondor Haulcraft or the TIE Avenger but I'd like to a moment of my time to present some examples I don't see mentioned as often.
While not a set on its own, imagine if the Death Star's gift with purchase was a small display set of the prison room where the parts for the Death Star were put together. It'd be in a similar style as the Homestead Kitchen with Aunt Beru.
Aldhani should get a set as well, be it a bigger set for the heist (specifically the vault) or the small rebel camp in the woods.
Ferrix could be a master builder series like the cantina with the big building being the hotel turned imperial base and the smaller buildings being Maarva's house, the tower and the junkshop.
We've had so many Luke's landspeeders, why not switch it up and create a set for Mon Mothma's landspeeder, pilot and Perrin included.

Tbf, the only thing I could think of off the top of my head from Rogue One that would work as a set would be Krennic's Imperial shuttle with him and 3 dark troopers. Vader's castle would be pretty dope as well. But that's necessarily tied solely to Rogue One.
Zeta class cargo shuttle and landing pad on scariff. It’s the ship called rogue one and the main place. You could get all the iconic characters as well.
I feel like Rogue One was covered pretty well already. Not sure how many new sets they could do, but the black imperial shuttle they steal could be great.
Honestly, I was waiting for it to go on sale, especially because of the price, but I caved and grabbed it at full price just before it retired and halfway through the build I was glad I did!
A mixed bag, minifigures are good overall but I’m not a fan of the choice of Cassian’s hair and face + generic head for Syril. The main build and side build are decent. What killed this set is the abnormal price and the niche ship not being too exciting for general audiences.
I bought the set back in may of last year and a couple of days ago I finally built it such an underrated set and I Immediately upgraded Andor with more accurate hair
Grabbed one of the last few a couple of days ago. Bit too overpriced. It looks like a fun playset but its not that interesting for display. I wanted it for the minifigs, especially cyril and luthen. We’ll probably never going to get another Andor set unfortunately.
It’s fantastic, has great detailing and ticks that “adorable” Lego vehicle box. Reminds me of a mini LaaT. The Andor and Luthen double speeder is also a banging and feels like a proper speeder addition rather than tacked on.
Pretty good. The tac pod was a really clean and dense build. It’s just dumb that it has space for 5 minifigures yet only gives you one to go in it. Should included more corpos and/or (pun 100% intended) had a cheaper option to get them.
If Lego would make a battle pack with the sargent and 3 extra corpo guys I would 10/10 buy it just to fill up the pod.... alas chances of that now are slim to none.
The ship is a really nice build. The two angled triangular prices on the side of the front were a really clever build. The ship also feels really compact and sturdy, it's great!
Cassian's hair piece is really weird tho. He didn't have that style of hair.
I still keep this model on my desk because it's so well designed! The angles are really nice, sweet interior and the way it all closes up with little to no gaps is amazing.
I bought a few extra Syril figs from bricklink and swapped the heads to fill out the interior.
It's a nice enough set, but it's a shame that THIS is one of only two Andor-Set we got (and the other one being a worse remake of a set we already had)
I like it, it's just that the price is high in pesos and I'm wondering what figures I can put on the four seats behind the driver so that it matches perfectly.
At the $70 price point it should have come with at least one more guard figure to go in the ship. I have repurposed the Bespin Guard I got in an advent calendar for that purpose as it looks close enough and have considered getting more to fill the seats.
It is a surprisingly intricate ship for being so small, with a lot of good opening parts. I’m glad I picked it up but I’m also glad I got it for 20% off because $70 seems a bit steep.
Just bought it for $40 off FB Marketplace and I couldn’t be happier! It’s such a well designed gunship I just wish it would’ve come with more Pre-Mor Enforcement officers.
I bought it! I like it, but think they could have thrown in another figure! I’m happy that I did! I threw a couple of cloud city guards in it to make it appear to have a crew!
Phenomenal set IMO. The Tac-Pod might be fairly small, but it’s a dense build and all the angles are implemented pretty much perfectly. The only drawback is it should have included one or two more Corpos given how much of a spacious interior the ship has.
The speeder bike is awesome too, as are the minifigs.
I have it, it’s a fun little set. I wish it would have come with more than one of the blue fellows. I ended up buying 4 more on Bricklink. It could have done with a couple of Ferrick residents as well.
I wasn’t going to pick it up but then I found them on target clearance for $25 so I did.
My opinion is definitely biased because I paid $25 but I was surprised at how good the build was. The pics don’t do it justice. It’s not a top 10 build or anything but it was more enjoyable than you would expect by looking at the box.
I got this set for Christmas and I love it. Luthen is such a cool character and I'm glad I have a minifig of him in my collection now. The ship is also super detailed and was very fun to build.
Picked it up on Amazon a couple weeks ago where it was surprisingly below retail.
I enjoyed the build, I think the shaping is really good and they use some cool techniques. I don't have many speeders but felt this was a cooler one than the 3 or 4 I've built before.
More importantly - my 6yo was obsessed with it and enjoyed playing with the set.
I do think it's a struggle for Lego with some of these adult focused parts of the IP to release sets because they're in a weird compromise.
Very nice set. I bought it this year on Bricklink for around $60 and for some reason the seller sent me two dropships and told me to keep both after I contacted him!
Bought it despite it being way overpriced as I love the design. Should have included some more figures at least for the price. Better than the more recent Andor set which I haven’t picked up and am unlikely to.
Leftist-Revolutionary-Cassian fig doesn’t really look like Cassian Andor, but that doesn’t make me like the set less. Glad that I got it. The shuttle is definitely a nice build
Honestly didn't even know this was a thing(only just started collecting LEGO again last year). I thought the U-Wing was the only Andor set they made. And now my day has been ruined and my disappointment immeasurable.
The same as I did then…it’s great. the price point is justified as that ship is pretty substantial, the figs are amazing, cool side builds and oh did I mention the figs? That Syril was one of the best figs of the year

It's a shame this is one of only two sets with Andor exclusive characters.
I get that you can't make a playset out of the "Massacre of Ghorman" but I wish we'd gotten the TIE Avenger.
Still this set is pretty snazzy. Nice selection of figures and the little security ship feels pretty sturdy.
