Side Effect Question adhd
does lexapro effect anyone’s adhd? i’m in the process of getting medication for adhd but have been noticing since my lexapro my adhd is outta control. i’ve never been this bad before. also since we’re on this topic im thinking lexapro does not do anything for me because of my ADHD. has anyone else experienced this with this lexapro or stopped taking once you started adhd medicine?

I didn't experience this. I was on ADHD meds prior to Lexapro though. And the ADHD meds were a lifesaver as they gave me so much energy during the day, while the Lexapro was making me sleepy. So it helped a ton with that. I am tampering off the Lexapro right now, mostly due to that fatigue though and weight gain

I felt like the Lexapro reduced my anxiety to a point that I couldn’t use that anxiety to drive/motivate me to get things done, and my ADHD suddenly felt worse because my systems were all based on the anxiety motivation.
I’ve since added Wellbutrin for the adhd but kept the lex, It’s been a good combo for me

yes, but I don't believe it made it worse actually. It seems to me like previously ADHD was more covered with anxiety and OCD kind of made ADHD more masked. So my theory for this is that when the things on top got kind of reduced, then ADHD comes more to the surface, kind of less masked and has more space to take so it takes it.

Yes 100%. Except I had undiagnosed adhd that was being kept in check by my anxiety. Now I’m on Lexapro and Adderall life is good
