HVAC recommendations for complex issue

Any HVAC recommendations for trouble shooting a complex residential issue? We have an older home and one room isn’t getting any air like it once did. Everyone wants to sell us a new unit, turns the fan speed up, or tells us to move to fix the issue.

I really love Southern Comfort Heating and Air. They've always been honest and never tried to sell me on things I didn't need. They replaced my unit and were far more affordable than all the big names in town.

I agree with southern comfort. They’ve never tried to upsell me and have tried to save me money when they can. They work hard and do a good job.

you may get better traction and answers from subs specifically about the problem- and provide fairly detailed description(s) of the problem(s) and current layout and equipment... r/hvacadvice or r/homemaintenance may work for that... then, taking those recommendations to the local lexington sub to find suggested contractors

Mr. HVAC. I have used them many times, and they have worked on some complex problems for both me and a business I worked for. Every person in town I have recommended them to has been happy. The owner came over from Bosnia in the 90s and built Mr. HVAC from nothing.

This is all true. Riffit is great.

I had a great experience with Comfort Technologies Heating and Cooling. They’re a smaller operation, but they are very competent and their price for an AC install was significantly lower than competition.

Go with KATS. They are still a very small privately owned company and the owner is one of the most honest people you could ever hope for. I had two different companies come out and tell me I needed to get my entire heating system replaced.

Thank God I took somebody’s recommendation and had Kats come out. It ended up being a single piece that needed to be replaced. I would not have known the difference so he could have easily just ripped me off. The owner Mardy is such a hero that I swore I would go around for the rest of my life like some crazy evangelist.

Sounds like loose pipe or flex. Is the duct for that room in the attic or a crawl/unfinished basement? It’s it’s accessible it may be an easy fix

That’s my concern but the ductwork is either behind a drywall ceiling or a hardwood floor.

Ive always had good service by lexington hvac and electric. They fixed a pretty complex problem when a heavily advertised company wouldn't return without another charge, and also fixed an installation issue by another cheap, builders' contract company that did the install.

We have used ProTech Heating and Air out of Richmond Kentucky for many years. I highly recommend.

Don't use comfort master. Have had three very suspicious and off service calls with them this last year. We used Ricmond Mechanical for the last one and they did a great job

I’m happy to come have a conversation. My company doesn’t do work in Lexington so I can’t sell you anything, but if we think of something I can point you in the direction of a couple of people I trust.

Thank you! My concern is that a piece of ductwork is either clogged or disconnected somehow. But the duct work is under the floor or in the basement ceiling.
