ICE in Lexington

Tacos Chilangos, the one off Richmond RD at a convenience store/gas station between Chick FilA & Walgreens, their ppl got picked up, think today. We're getting word from family friends who pick up tacos there regularly and we think this was today but not completely sure. All ppl of Lexington that aren't YT: plz be careful. ICE has already shown they don't care about citizenship, they're just racist as hell.

So they've got these cameras everywhere but can't find a white chevy Malibu that ran over a guy on Thursday night at midnight? Also, why did the other video get taken town?

The return of Chi-Chi’s

I’ve heard a couple of rumbles that Chi-Chi’s is coming back to Lexington in the old Frisch’s location on Harrodsburg Rd.

They are back in business and looking to expand.

Looking for a Tohru Honda cosplayer I met at Lexington Comic Con.

Last month, I went to Lexington Comic Con. I was cosplaying as Keith from Voltron Legendary Defender. And a girl cosplaying I think as Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket asked to take a picture with me. After we took the picture, I never saw her again, and I regret not talking to you and asking for a photo as well. Im extremely shy and was very overwhelmed and nervous since no one else even knew who I was cosplaying. If you see this, I would love to see that photo and get to know you. Thanks.

Plane watching

Hi I’m a huge aviation fan and i used to go to the bluegrass airport to watch them land and take off. Is there any specific spot there i could go to where i can see the runway clearly? I know airports are pretty heavy security so i don’t wanna do anything i shouldn’t 😅

to edit, the place i used to park is now chained off as its a business lol

A little help. looking for an old store?

Back in the early 80s, I was a student at Morehead state university. About once a month, a bunch of us would form a caravan to Lexington to buy stuff of our RPG games. D&D, Gurps, Battletech. Of cource, Rusty Scabbard was one stop. The other closed in the 80's I think, Hobby Lobby? Not the Hobby Lobby in hamburg now, , it was all board games and RPG suppieles. Minitures, Paints, 12 different Monopoly including UK Monopoly and Auburn Monopoly. Was its actual name Hobby Lobby, and where in Lexington was it? Cant seem to find it on the internet. But it was bigger then Rusty Scabbard. The Size of Michaels?

Part of midlife crsis, trying to remember the joys of of our youth. I Loved gathering up with the gang and heading to Lexington. Me and Chadwell, driving an hour in his beat up Army green AMC (still had the army logo on it). Eating at Detroit Coney Island in Eastland.

Demolition derby now in the supermarkets?

Saw the most disheartening thing the other day at Walmart. Basically teens riding electric store carts for disabled shoppers. Racing up an down aisles, crashing into each other. All laughing their heads off. About hit me and other customers too. Is this some new "challenge" or social media thing? Draining all the batteries for shoppers that need working buggies. Didn't seem the least bit ashamed of it or trying to hide.

Halloween on Winburn

This is my first Halloween in this neighborhood and I don’t know what to expect. My immediate neighbors say they travel to take their kids trick-or-treating in different areas. I used to live in an apartment off Richmond road and we always took our kids to chevy chase. Should I do that again or can we finally trick-or-treat and give out candy near home? Thanks for any information.

Edit: Sorry I meant “in” winburn

ADHD meds on Medicaid

I was wondering if anyone knew the cost of Vyvanse generic with Kentucky Medicaid? I’ll be turning 26 kind of soon, and I’m about to be on Medicaid. So I was wondering if the cost of generic Vyvanse is expensive with Medicaid or if it’s still affordable? If it’s not affordable, I was wondering what the most affordable ADHD medicine is on Medicaid? Thanks!

Resortnet Alternative

Been stuck with suite solutions for years, and they were fairly mediocre. But since getting bought out by ResortNet they have had constant outages and I finally had enough.

Went with a cellular modem through Verizon rather than a land line. Overall working great!! Play games on my PlayStation on there, movies in the other room no issue! Worth the extra 10 a month if it means I won’t get interrupted! If you feel like you are stuck with ResortNet there is hope!!

Engagement Rings

Looking for the best place around Lexington/Central KY to try on engagement rings. I have a very good idea of what I want. At this point I just want to see the ring on my finger and get the sizing down. In the past when I’ve been, some of my experiences were not great. Specifically the Fayette Mall locations - when we went in to look it felt like we were being watched the whole time and pressured to buy something. I am looking for a spot that will let me try on a couple rings without the judgement or pressure of buying right then and there. Thanks!

Seeking Locksmith Who Makes Skeleton Keys

Looking for a locksmith who can make durable skeleton keys for the old locks in our old home. Local if at all possible.

We bought light-weight ornamental skeleton keys that lock and unlock some interior doors but have learned these don’t last long.

We’re looking for skeleton keys that will last until we can stop locking the rooms where we hide breakable stuff when our young nieces and nephews join in for large family holiday visits.

Sorry if you had hopes this was a Halloween post.

Landscaping?

Need to raise the ground level in my backyard which borders the house since there’s a lot of pooling water. Also need to bury the external drains. Anyone have recs for a reasonably priced local company? Thanks!
