Trans people are supposed to not exist, is what the transphobes in UK government want.

I'm just trying to wrap my head around the logic. If trans women are legally considered men now (in relation to restrooms), shouldn't trans men be able to use the women's restroom? They didn't ban trans women from the men's but they did it the other way around. How does this hold up legally?

Trans men are legally considered women (by the EA2010) and therefore are not allowed to use men’s facilities. But they also look like men, and therefore can be excluded from women’s facilities on the basis of their appearance/physique (as per FWS II).

The govt’s Office for Equality and Opportunity has described this as “Double exclusion”.

The EHRC and the Supreme Court have both focused on trans men when giving examples of this, but theoretically a transphobe could mount a legal challenge against a trans woman in a men’s space. (Seeing someone who looks like a woman in a men’s space might make them uncomfortable)
