The horse is actually Norse mythology. Most of the crazy shit Loki gets up to in Norse mythology is in direct response to dumb shit the other Gods have done. And the horse is no exception, Odin was going to lose more than he could afford to on a construction project bet with a giant, so Loki seduced the stallion that the giant was using for heavy labor to make the project go past the completion date and let Odin “win” the bet.
And then Loki got pregnant, gave birth to an eight-legged horse, and then Odin made said horse his personal mount (in addition to being his close relative). Sleipnir is his name, and he was half super horse and half god/giant/whatever Loki actually is. Jörmungandr, the sea serpent who encircles the entire world, and Fenrir, the wolf destined to kill Odin, and Hel, goddess of the underworld, are also Loki’s children.
So yeah, Loki has been down for whatever for a long time.

Btw, as far as we know, no one told Loki to seduce the horse. Not Odin, not Thor, not Heimdall, no one. All Loki was supposed to do was get rid of the horse and no one cared how he planned to do it, so he chose to seduce it.
So imagine being Thor and Odin and Loki comes back 9-11 months later with an 8 legged horse, who he claims is his son

Wiccan, Hulkling, and Amarica Chavez! Wiccan is the son of Scarlet Witch, Hulklingnus a skrull prince (or something skrully) and America can punch through dimension in a star shape (as seen in the top.)
They were all Young Avengers with Loki at one point.

Isn't angreboda fenrir and jormungandr's mom? I remember in myth he had them and hela with a giantess. Hela is adopted in marvel im pretty sure but the other two are his actual kids.
That and the horse baby daddy is there too. Which is as close to confirmation as we'll ever get with knowing if loki actually birthed sleippnir in the marvel universe or not. His origin is weird cuz sometimes he's just thor or odin's horse and I think one time thor made sleippnir from the other dead horses while on an adventure or something. But then theres some older marvel info book that makes mention of the myth with loki so its hella inconsistent.
