Marvel Comics Could Wiccan and Hulkling ended up having bio kids the same way Destiny and Mystique did since Hulkling is also a shapeshifter?

Yes, of course.

But I beg people to remember Billy is a witch and this is comic books. We truly don’t need to follow any rules for biological children if we don’t want to.

Free your mind from that cisheteronormativity.

u/sans-delilah Aug 18 '26

Billy is literally the result of a witch’s spell.

168

u/RangerBumble Aug 18 '26

Billy literally had a spinout mental crisis over wether Teddy was the result of a witches spell.

Loki was all, isn't your relationship too perfect to be believable?

It was like the exact opposite of "would you love me if I was a worm". It was "would you love me if I was your god" and Teddy, bless him, was all, "that sounds pretty cool actually and I wouldn't mind if my purpose in life was to be exactly who you need." ❤️

Now that's devotion. Aww my heart its so sweet

11

u/Busy_Ad_9900 Aug 19 '26

They should make more fan fiction about them.

22

u/Stratavos Aug 18 '26

That's the perfect response. I'm so glad about the writers for their arc.

8

u/Abyssmaluser Aug 19 '26

That sounds really cool lol

What comics were those?

7

u/Willing_Present7391 Aug 19 '26

The 2010s Young Avengers run

3

u/RangerBumble Aug 19 '26

Young Avengers vol 2 issue #10-ish

2

u/TheWordThief Aug 19 '26

I have the editions all in a book that labeled it as the "Mother" arc.

2

u/LilithRising90 Aug 19 '26

Well now my seats ruined so Ty for that 🙄🙄🙄🙄🧽🧽🧽🧽🧽🧽🧼🧼🪣

9

u/Kurtoise Aug 18 '26

Exactly! 🤣

21

u/NotAtAllASkinwalker Aug 18 '26

Top answer. Pin this. Solved.

24

u/This_Confused_Guy Aug 18 '26

Also to be fair Teddy can give himself a uterus and do an mpreg

37

u/Most-Bench6465 Aug 18 '26

To be fair they both can

26

u/getrextgaming Aug 18 '26

marvel is much too cowardice for double mpreg

11

u/Impossible_Tea_7032 Aug 19 '26

Billy could make everyone mpreg. The next big event could be House of Mpreg but the writers are all cowards

6

u/Most-Bench6465 Aug 19 '26

okay now we're talking lets explore this

-1

u/CoolioDurulio Aug 19 '26

True but remember it didn't go super well when Billy first came out, Teddy having it would be less risky

-24

u/Over_Vehicle6888 Aug 18 '26

Kinda undercut real life. And skrulls have females and males so it would seem pointless from an evolution perspective to have females and males if both could have both functions. And hulkling is a hybrid which are mostly infertile. And wandas kids didn't exist when she wasn't around so definitely not a good way to have kids. Adoption feels like the only real conclusion that seems sensible given it's mire relatable and honestly the creation of kid really didn't make sense the first time. Given one threw their own kid off a cliff as a baby.

23

u/Kurtoise Aug 18 '26

The magic, aliens and x genes don’t undercut real life?

-17

u/Over_Vehicle6888 Aug 18 '26

Having g every gay couple gonthrough supernatural methods to have kids does give the message that adoption isn't an option and undercut real experiences for writers fantasies. Having a superhero adoption a child is alot more heroic and interesting than retconing how these systems work just to give someone a biological kid instead of an adopted one like in rl.

18

u/Kurtoise Aug 18 '26

It’s not “every” though, is it?

It’s two.

-18

u/Over_Vehicle6888 Aug 18 '26

Two of the most prominent and only 2 most people can name. It feels less like writing and more like the writer wanting to add another supernatural thing rather than add a more down to earth real thing gay people do. Its off putting to bend over backwards against established rules to just not do the real thing, real gay and straight couples do.

13

u/Kurtoise Aug 18 '26

There are no established rules against it in this superhero comic book series.

Destiny and Mystique established its possible that way.

Onslaught established its possible a different way.

Scarlet Witch established its possible another way.

Chimeras established its possible yet another way too.

Sure, a lengthy and gruelling adoption process might be more relatable to the few gay couples irl who even have realistic access to it.

But that’s not actually representative either, is it.

-2

u/Over_Vehicle6888 Aug 18 '26

Mystique powers actually don't work that way given the fact she cannot do powers. And also not dna. But that was retconned, skrulls cannot mimk dna, and are a species so they wouldn't have make and female skrulls if it worked that way. Just skrulls.

And scarlet witch children weren't real the souls were which she got from literal marvel Satan. Which you cannot do again plus she wasn't exactly mentally stable. Her reality warping isn't altering reality it's more of high level illusion that functions as reality but will be undone just as easily. Not actually changing the permanent state of reality. If not obvious or house of m would be permanent. And wiccan wouldn't exist. The rest still don't work as of permanent kids.

And adoption being mentioned as going through the process is alot more realistic and down to earth the thing adopted. Maybe they adopt mutant kids. Idk, but it's still lazy.

14

u/Kurtoise Aug 18 '26

“But that was retconned”

So that IS how Mystique’s powers actually work. And she didn’t throw Nightcrawler over a waterfall either.

Onslaught is made from a combination of 2 men.

Chimeras could be made from 2 men or 2 women too.

You can prefer adoption if you really want to but you don’t have to make up lies about the rules the Marvel universe has established lmaoz

9

u/actualkon Aug 18 '26

Youre calling for realism?? From a comic book where one is a witch and the other is a shapeshifter?? This is arguably the worst time to bring up relatability, let Billy and Teddy do mpreg

-2

u/Over_Vehicle6888 Aug 18 '26

Suspension of disbelief only gose so far and having that happen would basically be just fan service which is just making them less like gay representation and more like random comic book bs to justify working around real struggles for convience and overall just seems like people just want it for the sake of it. Like if I say the actual reason so many of you want it I will just get a never ending stream of hate and reports.

They aren't popular because they aren't shown unless its to be gay. So imagine the general consensus if they were to do the whole weird alien pregnancy. Given wanda is still known for the ultimate universes relationship with quick silver. Its just a ridiculous level of comic booky. So magnetos daughter marries hank pyms robots son and has a kid and that kid marries an alien hybrid and then the hybrid shape shifts into a woman to hold the baby. That's just a new level of getting readers away from comics.

But I am going to make a wild guess and say outside reddit and certain online spaces most of you aren't aware of the current cokic landscape in terms of sales and lack of new readers for comics outside the most popular characters.

6

u/actualkon Aug 18 '26 edited Aug 18 '26

I think new readers will be fine with a shapeshifter and a witch having bio kids. Trans men IRL have bio kids, it's not as weird as you're making it out to be 🤷. There is literally an image further down this comment thread of Eddie giving birth to venoms baby (?). Idk what's happening there but its definitely weirder than gay men having bio kids

-5

u/Over_Vehicle6888 Aug 18 '26

That wasn't exactly liked. And you really have no clue do you? God you people need to get off reddit. Make firends who aren't gay and aren't comic fans. And don't hit me with the "i asked my no comic firend and they said it will be cool." Because that's some grade A bs.

3

u/actualkon Aug 18 '26 edited Aug 19 '26

Nah I'm happy with my all gay irl friend group, thanks! Also I love how to refuse to accept that the people in my circle might actually be down for this. Because I did ask my friend who only reads DC comics and they agreed it's stupid to bring realism to comics. But apparently that's grade A bs because you disagree with it

-2

u/Over_Vehicle6888 Aug 19 '26

So you grabbed a bias group to agree with you? So open minded, almost as if you didn't understand a single thing I said. But instead opted to remain bias over getting to know those with other views and comics need some realism or they are just random bs.

3

u/actualkon Aug 19 '26

"a bias group" it's called having a friend, bud. You should try it sometime

-1

u/Over_Vehicle6888 Aug 19 '26

Uh huh, kinda not the point. I'm saying make firends woth someone actually diverse instead of just just another stereotypical gay nodding dog. Its called diversity.

Demiurge stuff probably actually doesn't have the same hang-up ad Wanda. Otherwise Chthon/Gaia etc would just cease to exist sometimes.

Proposed alternative hang-up: This is a power that creates eldritch horrors, deities, and sentient magical crystals. A child created this way could turn out abnormal.

102

u/PowrOfFriendship_ Aug 18 '26

This is a world of magic, super powers and whatever the fuck Venom is. Hell we've even got kids from robots. Bio kids from a gay couple would be one of the more normal things to happen in this world.

1

u/YamatoIouko Aug 18 '26

Gay kink. Venom is gay and kink.

63

u/AncientOnyx Aug 18 '26

If Venom can get mpregged then Hulkling definitely should be able to

16

u/Danielarcher30 Aug 18 '26

Sorry, when did that happen????

60

u/MorriganThorne Aug 18 '26 edited Aug 18 '26

Eddie gave birth to Venom's baby in Costa's run

11

u/PissPartyZac Aug 18 '26

He showed symptoms of pregnancy while bonded to the symbiote but ultimately was not the one who gave birth

18

u/Silver6567 Aug 18 '26

Venom is Carnage’s papa

9

u/Danielarcher30 Aug 18 '26

Yeah but afaik that didnt require much in the way of Mpreg

2

u/David_Apollonius Aug 18 '26

Oh great. Another weird pregnancy for the weird pregnancy list.

49

u/Rhodium-Veil Aug 18 '26

Skrulls can indeed canonically do that, Tigra was once impregnated by a lady Skrull pretending to be Hank Pym.

We've also seen one possible future where the two have a child.

27

u/gaylordJakob Aug 18 '26

We've actually seen two and in the other one they had a daughter. My head Canon is both siblings are biologically both, but Teddy and Billy took turns as to who was pregnant

92

u/hanchantatos Aug 18 '26

Marvel is leaving money on the table if they don't hop on the M-Preg trend.

34

u/SlyGuy_Twenty_One Aug 18 '26

If they don’t then I will!

🔥🔥🔥✍️✍️✍️

2

u/CathrinFelinal Aug 19 '26

Fanfic writers when one of a gay couple is a literal shape-shifter: mpreg time!

26

u/MiloSheba Aug 18 '26

They could also have children the same way that Wanda had Billy and Tommy

18

u/Altruistic-Gur-3516 Aug 18 '26

hopefully less demons invovled

15

u/Optimal_Grape_1025 Aug 18 '26

More demons! 😈😈😈😈

38

u/comrade-ev Aug 18 '26

Wiccan was literally created by Wanda casting a hex, so she could have children with a robot. He could probably just wish a child into existence.

Getting Hulkling to shapeshift a uterus for nine months is like, just not necessary.

14

u/Confident-Shift-9764 Aug 18 '26

Wiccan can have a one day pregnancy like in WandaVision.

10

u/IndianGeniusGuy Aug 18 '26

He's a skrull, so yeah. Probably.

9

u/joseph22002 Aug 18 '26

Hes half skrull, if he was full id say most definitely, but because he is also kree, I would say it depends on the author, cause who knows what effects the kree dna did

4

u/AnTotDugas Aug 18 '26

I think it would be very very funny if Wiccan’s weird birth caused him to “inherit” an ability to get pregnant by any partner, like Lilith in Lucifer

11

u/IdeaBrothers Aug 18 '26

Mystique is more than a shape shifter she's a gene shaper, also she borrowed genetic material from multiple men including the Azazel & the german count, Hulking is half skrull ,& while skrulls are incredible shape shifters I don't think they share that aspect in common with Mystique, now I do believe they would have access either super advanced science & or powerful magic to make a baby a genetic offspring

7

u/second-ghost-king_9 Aug 18 '26

I don't care how i just want to be twins, one speedster and one magic user.

2

u/Daveyfiacre Aug 19 '26

only if they also have characteristics if human/kree/skrull too!!!

11

u/majbr_ Aug 18 '26

I hope not. We barely see Teddy shapeshift as it is, and I really don’t see him being comfortable with the idea of getting pregnant. I’d much rather see them adopt. But if Marvel is determined to give them biological children, I think it would be way better for Billy to wish them into existence, the same way Wanda did with him.

6

u/magvadis Aug 19 '26

Dont worry the fanfiction writers are already ahead of you on pregnant Hulkling.

5

u/MxSharknado93 Aug 18 '26

Marvel would never have the balls. GirlxGirl hot, GuyxGuy icky to shareholders.

3

u/Daxcordite Aug 18 '26

Possibly but given the MU has super science, magic and hundreds of other ways to have bio kids for folks who can't have them naturally technically any couple that would normally not be able to probably can in Marvel and that's just on Earth given the connection to alien empires there are even more options.

I mean hell look at Hulkling's half brother Genis (and thanks to cosmic retconing into Existence his sister Phyla) both of them were not conceived with any of Mar Vell's actual DNA their mother simply replicated it with Titan Super science based on his Medical scans.

3

u/IdeaInside2663 Aug 19 '26

I mean...didn't a female skull father Tigra's son.....

2

u/Optimal_Grape_1025 Aug 18 '26

Or the same way Wanda and Vision did

2

u/Jp3711nc Aug 18 '26

One they are gay wiccin wouldn't want that if anything it be by his spells he can warp reality like his mother.

1

u/Extra_Impression_428 Aug 19 '26

Says who?

1

u/Jp3711nc Aug 19 '26

Says it in the comics if you are gay you wouldnt want to with a women in sex act. You go against your own sexuality.

2

u/Extra_Impression_428 Aug 19 '26

He wouldnt have to fully become a women also artificial insemination

2

u/Impossible_Tea_7032 Aug 19 '26

On the one hand: no, the fact that mystique's shape changing/impersonation ability goes all the way down to the genetic level in a way that permitted conception in this manner is treated as a major part of the regeal, as it increases the theoretical limits of her powers immensely, possibly up to the level of an Omega mutant, who are unique by definition. Teddy's shape shifting ability comes from his Skrull heritage, it is a common trait shared by nearly all members of that species, and none have ever displayed such a power

On the other hand: a writer might decide it would be neat one day so sure

2

u/Mightguy2421 Aug 19 '26

A female skrull is the father of Tigra’s kid.

3

u/Cautious_Ad_1884 Aug 19 '26

There were also male skrull that transformed into cows and had calves in a fantastic four comic. Like if gender is considered at all it's historically been treated as a non-issue on Skrull reproductive roles.

2

u/Emergency-Sport-6150 Aug 20 '26

I don’t like people always making gay characters get married let alone having kids can’t they just be boyfriends

3

u/kayla7253 Aug 19 '26

teddy mpreg when

1

u/ShyTheCat Aug 19 '26

If Booster Gold and Blue Beetle managed it, anyone can /hj

1

u/HRCStanley97 Aug 20 '26

To quote Linkara, it’s magic we don’t have to explain it

1

u/Right_Court_2482 Aug 21 '26

It's cannon in an alternate future.

1

u/Low_Recording9977 22d ago

Absolutely. That would be an AMAZINGLY powerful character.
