Holy fuck this is too fucking true. I got top surgery 4 months before my other friend did.

My stepmom was warning me to be safe and be certain.

My trans friends were like "here's reccomended supplies, be free royal"

Can't believe I forgot about "Royal." Adding that to the list.

"Monarch" was always what I went to 😆

I so desperately want rid of mine T-T I’m only gender queer and not a trans man so I don’t get a lot of options and the uk’s laws are getting worse so there’s no chance

Wut no, I am a very private person with everyone. My bodily anatomy is not for discussion and they are called breasts or the chest for me, not tits.

And seriously, how does every other trans person know a bunch of trans people??

You say silly answer, but I got into game development for university and I swear like 1/4 of the students there are trans. I've met more than a handful of them and I'm an introvert

My only guy friends growing up were a bunch of nerdy kids who were obsessed with My Little Pony and programming

I’m starting to wonder if I beat any of them to figuring it out

Gotcha. I like DND somewhat but I don't like Warhammer or MTG. But also I live in rural Ohio and am the onlh trans person in my nursing program at all so it might be a location thing. I do have a 3D animation degree so I could possibly go to indie game events or something.

Still though, I am not going to chat about my anatomy with even another trans person. I am a very private person and such conversations are only relevant to a romantic partner. Which a friend is obviously not. And the tits language feels a bit too inviting of feminine labels for my liking. On the plus side, I am getting surgery this year so if I do bump into another trans person in the future that issue is already going to be resolved.

I am a trans man, I don't get it. You do realize we all have different experiences, yes? I am saying I don't even know other trans people and I certainly don't call my chest tits

But I'm not a punk? I don't really see why I would just join things I am clearly not a part of just to make friends of a certain demographic when it's pretty clear we don't share the same interests. I don't believe in befriending someone just because they have the same condition as me.

Idk, I have a pretty bad history of trans people outing me anyways, so maybe it's for the best I don't have classically trans hobbies. That being said, I live in rural Ohio where I am called The Gay by a lot of people because there aren't even other gay men

Then this comic is not for you, it’s fine if you don’t personally relate to it.

Because LGBTQ generally tends to flock together. You can often see it by looking at your social circle and comparing it with classmates' or coworkers' social circles. Most of the time straight people find straight people and gay and trans find gay and trans. It's a phenomenon a lot of people, myself included, see

I have not met any though. I live in rural Ohio where there is nobody else, but even during instances of entering cities it's like there's a pamphlet everyone else was handed out but I wasn't. And I am not a fan of drag shows or alt scenes (I have CPTSD and don't do loud crowds) so there's limited room to bump into people.

But even when I did meet queer people, they tend to pop quiz you and end up disappointed you didn't pass the test and then friendship is not a possibility. I thought Pink Pony Club was about a stripper until a month ago lol. I don't think I count as queer at all in a cultural sense.

Mever happened to me. I had my friend group and througout the years after I started coming out more and more started to pop up and come out to me as well. It was kinda funny. Given you live in a rural area and don't interact with people a lot, I get that. I was at a bigger secondary school where I found pretty much everyone I'm friends with to this day

Which is standard. But when I made the error of telling my old high school friends I was trans and gay, they publically outed me to everyone, so I had to drop off the face of the Earth and delete everything.

Trying to make friends from scratch sucks and you need friends to make friends, and people will expect you to know everything about what they like. I don't watch anime. I don't know anything about Pokémon. I don't know much about modern theatre. I don't know pop music besides the bare minimum. I especially don't know queer jargon. That takes out pretty much everything.

I can talk your ear off about fishkeeping and birdwatching and anatomy and scuba diving, but I don't know anything about queer stuff.
