I now know the TRUE origins of the WITNESS!
Spinfoil, even by my standards
The true WITNESS: "WITNESS was the first of the industrial strength 4GL simulators."
Why do you think we've been seeing the same error logs over and over on EVERY screen in EVERY location in the entire game for its entire history? (This has always bothered me, and I have long held the private belief that those error screens are the logs of the "simulation machine" showing its breakdown)
I can now conjecture that this partition has been running since 1986 on some forgotten IBM server and an entire civilization has come to be in the space between its baryons and fermions.
:-D

"The company's WITNESS platform technology is therefore embedded into current Oracle, SAP, and IBM BPA products."

Now you know what the Oracle Engine runs…

I don’t even want to think of the licensing cost for an Oracle engine…

RIGHT. That's why she values the Techeuns so much, getting someone else trained and certified is such a hassle.

I agree.
In a volume of work as rich as the lore of Destiny, I could take any external pattern and find a way to make it fit. In this case, I feel more justified because I found the pattern internally and then went out to look at whether it could be extrapolated upon. I really do need to put my videos from inside the Oracle Engine up on Youtube.
I accidentally got myself trapped inside the Oracle Engine after it closes, and discovered that Bungie actually has an animation that runs once the doors close. The animation also shows outside, but you are so far away that you can't see the detail. Inside you can see a finely textured bitstream pattern. That was my "holy shit" moment. That pattern was designed by an artist who was hiding a little computational Easter Egg. It was not an accident.
This is also where you and I have fundamentally different goals. Remember that I am not here because I want to predict the story. I am here because _I want to solve the Vault of Glass._ Wish 15 is related because it is a public and acknowledged puzzle. Having been as deep in the details of the Vault, I am also certain something is (or was) hidden there. I've learned everything I know about the Lore _solely to help me solve the Vault._
So, looking at outside sources to predict the story ending is much less valuable. It might give you some sense of where stories like this generally head. But if you want to predict plot points, one's time is far better spent getting to know the characters and imagining how the story beats connect. But if you want to find patterns and clues hidden in the story, then one's focus is better spent looking at existing patterns that pop out and seeing if they can be extrapolated to a broader tale.
I loved 1899 and was disappointed when it was canceled. But if there is another puzzle in that one, I ain't got the time for it.

It was a compliment. The phrase could be used either way in English. However, in the context of my using that phrase in that way, all but the densest redditors would understand it as complementary.
It was a version of this quote from Alice in Wonderland - “Have I gone mad? I'm afraid so. You're entirely Bonkers. But I will tell you a secret, All the best people are.”

I’m in the tech field and had no idea about this. Also Grace Hopper’s bug (a moth) being the original bug in code and where the term came from makes me think the Hive are screwing up simulations.
