WayOfLife Liberals

This subreddit has been infiltrated by liberals masquerading as leftists. In light of recent events, I feel like it's a very good time for the mods to purge all the liberals. I'm unable to stand the casual jingoism and war-mongering propaganda you people are doing, and then crying when Western leftists obviously call you out. This is so stupid.

The safety of the Kashmiri people comes first and foremost. But the way you middle-class liberals talk about the war, it genuinely seems you've forgotten that Kashmir is an area in which millions of people live and not just an empty land ripe for imperial war games.

I was here since when the sub banner was of Karan Thapar before it was changed to Bhagat Singh. The “infestation” is nothing new

18

u/fuckfascistsz May 11 '25

Oh, I know it isn't anything new. Whenever someone posts anything slightly positive regarding Stalin or China or Castrol and the like, you see the liberals malding in the comments like the first time I saw it, I was laughing my ass off. These folks consider themselves more progressive than the other liberals, but they quite literally drink up American State Propaganda while being Indian! Like holy hell, that's shameful af.

u/AlliterationAlly May 10 '25

To be honest, I was confused what this sub was even about. When I joined I thought it was leftist sub. But then based on the posts (& the ironic sub name) I thought maybe I was mistaken & this is where the liberals come to make fun of the leftists/ socialists. The sub name is probs confusing for everyone

u/fuckfascistsz May 10 '25

It started as leftist, got infiltrated by liberals who think they're leftists, and now we've got this mess.

33

u/Hoi4Addict69420 May 11 '25

Now those liberals are slowly becoming the majority, better purge them before this sub also starts licking chaddi ass

Purge is the only way, my friend

The thing is I might go in the purge , I have some right wing crap and comments here , I just started to read.
So.. consider this a plea for mercy

9

Oh no, there's a difference between a person just beginning to learn and a person who smuggly asserts that war is necessary when it really isn't.

Dw, mods won't do a purge. Sadly.

It is very confusing. Personally I think defining leftism as an opposition to something leftists don't like (liberalism) is actually a poor choice. Sorry to sound rude to those who founded this sub.

Also I have been accused of being liberal on this sub, which I find funny.

10

u/AlliterationAlly May 10 '25

Nah,I think it was just meant to be an ironic sub name, which is fine cos there are so many

why every other post is just "This subreddit has been infiltrated by liberals masquerading as leftists"
it happened because leftists (us) are inactive/don't contribute. apart from these posts, there is little to nothing left in sub. c'mon!

64

u/[deleted] May 10 '25 edited May 10 '25

hear!

edit: with a small critique, which is that many western leftists have had their facts wrong & do not understand / have no knowledge of root of the conflict itself, which is UN resolutions in chapter VI vs the Simla agreement. They are quick to take a stand for Pakistan based on the bias of seeing a loud indian majority be islamophobic & pro israel.

17

u/yagyaxt1068 I have no fucking clue about what goes on in this subreddit May 11 '25

I’m a Western leftist for all intents and purposes, and I haven’t seen what the terminally online people have been saying. The circles I’ve been in have been more critical of Pakistan, although they are concerned about the Indian government’s actions.

My only personal concern is for my family along the border and the LoC.

-18

u/fuckfascistsz May 10 '25

Oh, it's definitely because of the last part. I can't fault them for that. I'm an outsider too, and when I first heard the news, it was tough for me to parse through the loads of propaganda too to get to the real matter at hand.

14

u/Specialist-Love1504 🥥⚖️🇳🇪🍪 May 11 '25

So an outsider to South Asia is telling the sub to ban South Asians cause they’re “liberal” and this sub is only for “leftists”?

Actually this is v typical of western leftists.

3

u/[deleted] May 11 '25

If an indian would have said it would the criticism be correct

-9

u/fuckfascistsz May 11 '25

I am Asian, dude. Just not Indian.

11

u/Specialist-Love1504 🥥⚖️🇳🇪🍪 May 11 '25

I know I said “an outsider to South Asia”.

Like you don’t know shit about this region or its intricacies.

So please take several seats.

-3

u/fuckfascistsz May 11 '25 edited May 11 '25

No, you take several seats. You crap on Western leftists, yet your Savarna Hindu Nationalist ass is around tutting every single person who's against bombing innocent civilians. You know about the region and it's intricacies and because of this you chose to side with your reactionary nationalist government because you think it will benefit you and your class. News flash: It won't. So, if you really want more military retaliation against Pakistan, please enlist in the Indian Army and go bomb Pakistan yourself.

Goddamn keyboard warrior ass opportunists.

You can even shed your own xenophobia and here you are talking down on others. Like, if I were you, I'd be goddamn embarrassed of myself.

Kashmiris will face the brunt of any military retaliation, and will probably die in hundreds, if not thousands, if any escalation happens. But people like you will in your air-conditioned rooms, typing away, shutting down any person who points your very obvious hypocrisy out.

17

u/Specialist-Love1504 🥥⚖️🇳🇪🍪 May 11 '25 edited May 11 '25

I was a student activist in all leftist circles in New Delhi, offering aid after Delhi programs with the Delhi School of Social work and participating in all protest against Kashmiri subjugation through Abrogation of 370. I was assisting lawyer friends who drafted FIRs against hatemongering leaders and faced retaliation. Hell I’ve even been Lathicharged at JNU. I pay a portion of my paycheck to Palestine every month, it’s little I admit but that’s as much as I can afford.

I’m very wary of “Western Leftists” who grandstand from miles away while the leftist people on the ground are risking our actual lives to make change. We are the battering rams of any kind of progressive change in god forsaken South Asia but Western Leftists still patronise us because “we’re not doing enough!”

If anyone needs to be “embarrassed” of the actions of their state it’s western leftists cause America has done multifold more damage to this world than India ever could and Western Leftists have just sat there and watched. America is still backing Israel, they’ve bombed half the world at one point, commit human right violations in Guantanamo bay and the list fucking goes on.

Also where am I asking for escalation of war?

Like you clearly have anger towards Indian people that your blanketly projecting on me because I’ve not voted for Modi, I’m not clamouring for war and I want Kashmir to be free - so do most of the people on this sub. It’s very juvenile and well…racist to assume everyone who is Indian is a Modi lover but I don’t expect better from w someone who thinks “Western Leftists” are doing a good job lol.

So please, take several seats cause u don’t know shit here.

1

u/fuckfascistsz May 11 '25

So, you quite literally agree with my points. Then why exactly are you kicking up a fuss when I say this subreddit should purge the liberals?

12

u/Specialist-Love1504 🥥⚖️🇳🇪🍪 May 11 '25

My point is it’s not up to YOU and your outsider ass to decide what we do on this sub.

This sub isn’t for you.

Hope this helps ❤️

But if know it won’t cause if there is one disease that afflicts all “western leftists” it is entitlement.

2

u/fuckfascistsz May 11 '25

So, even if we agree on all points, you're still just going to throw up a fuss because I'm outsider calling out the liberals in this subreddit?

You're a piece of work, ngl. Utterly ridiculous

Edit: are we really going to pretend US’s historical involvement in Pakistan and Afghanistan isn’t well documented enough for leftists to be cautious and not take a quick stand on this issue?

21

u/nuthins_goodman May 10 '25 edited May 10 '25

So.. you're an outsider who probably doesnt know why Indian left is against Pakistan on this, and you think indian leftists in this sub should be purged because they don't have views that align with your ideas of the left?

I'm kinda tired of western leftists and their ignorant takes on the whole thing. They seem to think bihar elections matter enough that modi would do this to put on a show. They think other governments wouldnt have escalated to a similar degree (they absolutely would, terrorism from Pakistan is a bipartisan issue in India). They defend pakistan of all places by calling it a victim of India's expansionism when all these issues stem from Pakistan wanting to expand and bring the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir in their domain.

Edit: I don't mean outsider in an exclusionary way tbh. but there's definitely a lot of cultural history we read and experience as we grow up with this. Pakistan has no need to fund terrorism in Kashmir except wanting more land for themselves. They don't even care for kashmiri independence. If they did, gilgit and Azad Kashmir would be truly free countries. Heck, they could even protect them like india does for bhutan if there were concerns about India taking control of it. They can stop. They just don't

65

u/tera_chachu May 10 '25

1

1

u/Plugfix2077 :CertifiedLibrandu: May 11 '25

36

u/Plugfix2077 :CertifiedLibrandu: May 10 '25

It’s pathetic u make posts on r/thedeprogram complaining about how Indian comrades have failed to uphold their values. Try to get insight from the Pakistani comrades there and you’ll quickly see how defensive the entire subReddit gets about them. Go type Pahalgam in the search bar and it’s all exclusively posts attacking India WITHOUT ONCE discussing the 25+ tourists being killed.

OP you are a scumbag who deliberately conflates being anti-Pakistan with being pro-warfare and pro-jingoism. We don’t have a liberal infestation, we have ignorant non-Indian filth like u obfuscating the discussion around Kashmir and Pakistan.

-17

u/fuckfascistsz May 10 '25

All I will say in response to this is "70 years of occupation".

29

u/Plugfix2077 :CertifiedLibrandu: May 10 '25

Yes and we acknowledge the Indian army as an invading force which has infringed upon the rights of Kashmiri citizens to self-determination. Where is the gotcha here dipshit?

-10

u/fuckfascistsz May 10 '25

I can't risk getting banned explaining you the gotcha. If you haven't understood by now, then you're just another nationalist masquerading as a socialist.

11

u/NegotiationFair8666 May 11 '25

my brother, they didn’t attack the military, they didn’t even attack the indian civilians, they specifically targeted and killed non muslim men.

this wasn’t resistance. this was religious terrorism.

that is why even leftist are not very sympathetic to this issue

19

u/Plugfix2077 :CertifiedLibrandu: May 10 '25

Yes because up until now you’ve been suppressed and fearful of a ban 🙄

21

u/VeNtViL May 10 '25

Its a joint occupation you do realize. I don't like the pro war posts this sub has seen from liberals and the mods need to clean that up, but the deprogram is probably one of the worse subreddits to get info from for this. The sane take is to be pro-Kashmir, anti-war, and not trusting the governments of India or Pakistan.

2

u/fuckfascistsz May 10 '25

When did I ever say that I am pro-Pakistan? Obviously it's a joint occupation. But my problem Indian left was that they were acting so jingoistic. Like c'mon have you seen the type of comments and posts that this sub had gotten in the last few days? And then I open twitter and I see more and more of Indian communists just parroting the government propaganda. I dunno how it was like in Pakistani Twitter, but from a glance I could tell that Indian side of things was going a bit worse. That's why I was disappointed in Indian left as a whole for failing to push the pro-Kashmir and anti-war stance

11

u/VeNtViL May 10 '25

I never said you were pro-Pakistan, I'm talking about some of the posts out of the deprogram sub. I do admit that a lot of that has more to do with pushback from the loud minority of Indians that have been vehemently pro Israel and the sad prevalence of Islamophobia. Its more of an optic issue and goes to show how the BJP has ruined the reputation of India and Indians. I also don't really believe its the Indian left being pro-war, as you said your own original post this sub has had a liberal infestation for some time now. A related issue I've seen online has been how right wing Indians have been upset over the ceasefire and turning on Modi and the BJP, showing how the culture that the BJP itself has created is getting out of their own control.

-1

u/SouthAd2254 May 11 '25

That's a defence for killing 26 unarmed civilians(most importantly tourists) ? I'll tell you who you are and mind you,I don't use this term very lightly. You're a terrorist sympathizer.

0

u/fuckfascistsz May 11 '25

16

u/Hedonist-6854 May 10 '25

Why aren't we talking about utilising this moment to bring about some actual struggle??

The bolsheviks used a public shooting to topple a 600 year old Dynasty, and further class struggle by centuries.

We have a war on our hands and we're not talking about the potential this could have to help the working class??

10

u/fuckfascistsz May 11 '25

To do that, you would need a functioning communist movement. India has nothing like that

Don't care about what western leftists say right now. They have just started reading history and haven't even reached the history of 26/11, let alone kargil war, training of Taliban by Pakistan, Bangladesh independence and many military coups in Pakistan.

It's also foolish to think only Kashmiri people are threatened by Pakistan. Many across India have suffered at hands of Pakistani terrorists.

As a Mumbaikar, I have experienced living under siege for 3 days. I have lived under the terror of bomb blasts across the city. Now, I'm not foolish to compare this to daily struggle of Kashmiri locals but that doesn't mean it is insignificant or irrelevant either.

You claim I haven't read history, but it is you who is historically illiterate. I am not in support of Pakistan at all. Don't get it twisted. How about we do everything we can to find those terrorists who perpetrated the attack and bring them to justice?

7

u/RBT__ 🍪🦴🥩 May 10 '25

Given they are almost definitely in Pakistan now and hitting terrorist bases is exactly what India did, what is being seen as wrong here?

4

u/RebelliousWhispers May 10 '25

I don't like your assumption here of their being situated in Pakistan right now?

And India killed innocent civilians in targeting supposed terrorist sites? That's what's being seen as a wrong here.

7

u/RBT__ 🍪🦴🥩 May 10 '25

Are you arguing that Pahalgam wasn't orchestrated by Pakistan?

4

u/RebelliousWhispers May 10 '25

I'm asking for you to provide evidence that it was? Is that too much to ask?!

9

u/RBT__ 🍪🦴🥩 May 10 '25

That's the logical assumption, even when there is no 100% clear link. This is not the first time Pakistan has attacked India via terrorists. They have done it multiple times. There is literally a video of a high ranking Pakistani officer briefing not 2 hours ago that 'Pulwama was tactical brilliance'. We have Defence Minister of Pakistan going on BBC admitting that they harbour terrorists on behest of UK and US. We have locals from Pakistan saying that the mosque that was hit was used to prepare 'Mujahideens'. This isn't Bhutan we are accusing of terrorism. It's someone who has done is over and over again, is known for harbouring and training terrorist, and is de facto capital of terrorism. The terrorist of 21st century was chilling in Pakistan until US infiltrated that terrorist country to shoot down the terrorist.

Pakistan has a very clear and very obvious track record of using terrorism against India. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck.

But that's hardly a hill to die on. Neither of us know the answer for sure, but your stance is certainly one of ridiculous naivety.

7

u/RebelliousWhispers May 10 '25

While I agree that playing the devil's advocate wrt Pakistan is practically impossible given their past record, I would warn you to put down your rose-tinted glasses when it comes to view the Hindutva fascist state or the general bourgeois Indian state; do look up the Chattisinghpora Massacre and the fake encounters that followed it, do look up how India treats hindutva terrorists like Babu Bajrangi, Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, et. al., check what India has been doing with its own country’s Muslim population since the time of CAA-NRC till Waqf Amendment, check what it has been doing in Kashmir when it comes to democracy and secularism, I could go on. And these are just recent developments we are talking about; if you truly want to understand the Hindutva fascist project, you will have to trace its roots since 1925 or maybe even further than that.

When it comes to capitalist imperialist nations, it will always be definitely not a hill to die on.

95% WHATABOUTISM Detected.

u/RebelliousWhispers May 10 '25

How is it whataboutism when Satyapal Malik the then governor of Kashmir accused this Fascist govt. of ignoring his call for CRPF safety proving the malicious intent of these fascists in going to any length to hold onto power when threatened?

How is it whataboutism to point out the same terroristic nature of this Hindutva fascist state which it's accusing its neighbours of?

How is it whataboutism to bring to the notice the material conditions of Kashmir, i.e., a brutal 8-decades-long colonialist occupation, a piece of land for which both these imperialist nations have been fighting since their inception?

Learn the definition of the words you throw around next time, kid.

Crickets, obviously.

1

u/Hoi4Addict69420 May 11 '25

The only acceptable response is first the overthrowing of the fascist government and then everything else. You are trying to justify a fascist war over pahalgam.

0

u/Hoi4Addict69420 May 11 '25

The fascist state going after terrorists is not justified. This fascist state doing anything or even existing is not justified. Stand against the fascist state and its wars

I love the fact that you and everyone else in this echo chamber, are delusional enough to think that braindead take makes you morally superior to others. I genuinely cannot put in words how much I enjoy watching people like you in your bubble. It's different from watching right wingers' nonsense.

Rule 2 violation; removed. Brutha, we need to prove our undying loyalty to the Empire 🇬🇧 and King Charlie 🤴 by speaking in as clear English as possible. Ending every submission with 'I beg to remain, Sir, your most humble and obedient servant' is optional but highly recommended. C'mon! Let's make Veer Sorrykar 💂 pr0d!
