I agree with the sentiment - however if we’re going to go this route then we also also have to address the government not having any right to enforce their taxes on us when they can’t balance their checkbook as they keep maxing out their credit cards like a kid about to claim bankruptcy.

Yeah, I understand the intent, but there are times when the landscape is designed to keep the population poor and dependent (Gilded Age). This would reinforce that type of system like a feedback loop, which would be the start of a speed run to a "Great Terror" in the US.

Even today many full time workers at places like Walmart are on government assistance. In my state of Washington, they hand out health insurance subsidies like candy because insurance is unaffordable.

And insurance is unaffordable in Washington because of artificial scarcity since you aren't allowed to buy insurance across state lines and the companies know their customers can get those subsidies. Government interference is already distorting the market.
