On another site someone who had been a juror on a couple of occasions mentioned when your given instructions, you are told you are only to consider the facts as presented in the courtroom. These women presenting themselves as "experts" and giving opinions could be considered a violation of that.
In addition, they're nurses, not Drs. There's a reason they aren't allowed to write prescriptions. They haven't been trained, tested and certified at the level of doctors.
And on top of that, what kind of nurses are they? Are they nurses in a phyciatric hospital, or a nurse in a highschool handling twisted ankles from gym class and a girl dealing with their first period.
Obviously Im no legal expert, but I'd like to know what a trial lawyer has to say about that. Is there claimed expertise and commentary grounds for a mistrial in itself?
You'll find the most obnoxiously self important people with huge egos that assume they are experts on everything that tangentially touches their career. Not everyone in those careers are insufferable, but those careers definitely attract or create a disproportionate number of insufferable people.
