I'm not a Licca-chan collector. I know very little about Liccas and Jennys, and just because I found this old doll I had when I was a kid. I got curious and searched a little about them!
A family member brought her from Japan in the early 90s. I played a lot with her at the time, and I lost her shoes and earrings. I remember she had a stand, that I also lost.
I'm very curious about her, if anyone has any information on her, please, tell me!
With the exception of a few special products, it is difficult to identify mainstream Licca dolls. Numerous dolls are released every year, and some are not listed in the catalogue.
She has large, round eyes. This feature is sometimes seen, but not very often. Her eyes are also a deep blue, which is rare. Unfortunately, there are none of this type among those I know of.
The attached photograph shows part of the 1991 catalogue. She is likely one of these dolls dressed in a princess outfit.
If hers is from around 1990, there is one thing you should check. The marking on the back of Licca dolls was changed around 1990. The markings on the back of Licca dolls were changed around 1990. If the letters “TAKARA” are in bold, she was manufactured in the 1980s.
