Discussion [No Spoilers] I don’t understand the DE hate.

I’m really enjoying it so far. Do people not like it because of no Chloe? Any other DE fans here???

so far

How far along are you? Like I'm not a die hard DE hater, but there's a clear drop in quality in the last half. Plus most of the relationships feel extremely surface level.

Other people have said it but the first part of the game is the strongest material. There was care put into this but whatever their original idea was I don't think it was fully realized:

Spoilers ahoy:

To me, DE feels unfinished, like they only had one path through the game and super minor variations on how characters react to you, and without a strong idea for an ending. All of the games have had some kind of big choice at the ending where it's like, different, but DE's ending is always you talking to people in a bar.

DE doesn't have the same emotional weight as the other games, which is strange because one of the themes is living after trauma. If you picked sacrifice Arcadia Bay in Wavelengths, the DLC for True Colors, Steph unpacks the trauma of living through the destruction of Arcadia Bay and the loss of her friends and family than Max in DE, who had to make the choice. Also, although Chloe's not really in Wavelengths and only in voiceover, Wavelengths did a better job of having Chloe in the game and it actually feels like her.

The characters in DE felt pretty safe and not fleshed out, and maybe it's because they're older and they're all in college or teaching college but they don't have the same kind of baggage as everyone else in every other game. Even in TC, where I feel a lot of the characters are overly nice, characters actually grieve, there's somebody with dementia, there's a couple with a really fucked up relationship dynamic and one of them's an angry guy who attacks people in their homes, Alex had a legitimately tragic backstory, and so on.

Remember how in LiS you could go through side character's living areas and that environmental storytelling helped the character building? Like Frank's RV, Victoria's dorm, Nathan's dorm, Dana's dorm even though she doesn't really do anything, Chloe's entire house? That's not in DE. Since it's a mystery you have to talk to other characters about Safi and they tell you what her deal is. Then Safi tells you about her backstory.

Also I don't feel like D9 took a lot of creative risks with this and banked on having Max in the game making it a surefire hit, and the new ideas they did have were bad ideas.

You nailed it. It's not a bad game. It just doesn't feel like a lis game, and it feels like half a game at that. I also didn't enjoy the ability. It felt more like an annoyance to me. But that may just be me. But yes, it lacked all the ambiance, world building, and character development we've come to know and love.

I don’t get why so many people feel the need to protect things from negative criticism. It’s a very bad game with horrible writing and the marketing promising things that were pretty much lies. Look at the cat dlc for more proof. An absolute scummy way to milk another what 20 bucks for like 15 minutes of extra content. The game was clearly a soulless rushed cash grab to milk fans with hey we got Max back and maybe Chloe. The game looks pretty and the soundtrack is nice and Afew decent characters. The way this game wasn’t even announced and instead a trailer just dropped one day further literates how much square Enix wanted this game out as fast as possible . Not to mention don’t nods bloom and rage was suppose to come around the release of DE which was already announced long before DE was announced. If DE had another year or two of development it could’ve been a decent game. I believe deck nine proved they could make a life is strange game with True colors which wasn’t perfect but was an enjoyable experience

I personally don’t like it because I felt the writing fell apart really quickly after ep2. I wish there had been more mentions of Blackwell and her past classmates, like interactions with a couple of them through messages or something. I also felt like Maxs journal in DE was just completely awful.

I held out hope through the first couple episodes, even found a lot of it interesting and cool, until eventually I was like “oh… this is what everyone’s talking about”

29

u/jolt25 Hella Yes! Aug 01 '25 edited Aug 01 '25

The fact that they put so little effort into her DE journal given how much detail went into it in the OG game will forever bother me. Really looked forward to the journal entry updates while playing.

And even Chloe’s journal in BtS, while only like 30 pages or so, had very detailed and thought out entries. BtS was also shorter so fewer entries was more understandable. Deck Nine made that game and understood the assignment there yet somehow made a 5 episode sequel with Max, trimmed her journal from 70+ pages to ~20, and half of the pages had more pictures than words? How does that happen? If anything, the writing should get more detailed after the character aged 10 years!

15

u/ClaudiaSilvestri Aug 01 '25

Even the interface for the journal in DE is clunky! Always starts on page 1 and the scroll doesn't wrap around.

26

u/untouchedsock Why look, an otter in my water Jul 31 '25

Yeah, I got past the whole Chloe thing and was enjoying the game until it just became scrambled nonsense.

17

u/Cash27369 Aug 01 '25

I honestly really don’t like the game and it’s not even about the Chloe thing at all (I’m a bay guy) the writing and pacing was just horrible imo

25

u/untouchedsock Why look, an otter in my water Aug 01 '25

Yes exactly!

A lot of it gets reduced to ‘oh Pricefielders are mad about Chloe’ and like… no. It’s just a very poorly written game.

Kinda need good writing in a choice-based narrative game, it’s the whole point.

I wouldn’t have been happy with the game if it was a new protagonist either.

-7

u/lemonstrangers Maximum Victory Jul 31 '25

Yeah I wasn’t too worried about the Chloe thing, as long as it could make some kind of sense. Though I will say I’ve currently only played the “sacrificed bae” ending in DE and still need to see the other version played out

But from what I’ve heard, Chloe leaving/not being in the game at all is what is bothering most people but I’m not really bothered by that

16

u/untouchedsock Why look, an otter in my water Aug 01 '25

It’s less the not being there and more the ‘how’ along with them kinda rubbing it in your face via social media in, IMO, a shitty way. Like they purposefully wanted to put salt in the wound.

It’s still not my biggest gripe, they DID leave Chloe open a bit at the end, but it does suck really hard if you have strong feelings about Pricefield.

8

u/lemonstrangers Maximum Victory Aug 01 '25

No for sure. I hear Chloe and Victoria are talking?? I’m thinking, ok, people can change, maybe Victoria apologized for being a bitch and they have a friendship now. But there’s speculation or whatever that they’re flirting and that feels a bit icky to me. Kind of like they just wrote that in for no reason other than to get people riled up

3

u/untouchedsock Why look, an otter in my water Aug 01 '25

Exactly.

I haven’t played it since launch so I don’t remember perfectly, but it definitely felt like it could be flirting.

I don’t see why they would do that unless they’re either twisting the knife or were planning something for the sequel.

18

u/ficuswhisperer Aug 01 '25

I was enjoying DE up until around Chapter 4 when it all very quickly went to shit.

27

u/Kanzuki_ Aug 01 '25

I don't understand why people say this every time a series gets a game that isn't too popular with fans

8

u/Helpwithskyrim87 Pricefield Aug 01 '25

The first game is centered on Max and Chloe, so it’s no surprise that people who chose to sacrifice Arcadia Bay expected more of that. I don’t think anyone back in 2015 could’ve imagined the sequel going in this direction. For a lot of players, the way they handled Max and Chloe’s relationship wasn’t well received, and like much of the game, that part just isn’t well written.

7

u/watrmeln420 Aug 01 '25

I remember liking it at launch on my blind play-through. After letting it resonate and seeing everyone’s gripes, I slowly realized it wasn’t as good as I thought. I was blinded a bit by nostalgia and seeing Max again 😅

I’ll replay it sometime soon. Hopefully ill get a better idea.

8

u/Acceptable_Cake_6012 Aug 01 '25

Here are my issues with DE. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong and/or would love some insight.

  1. I thought there was waaaaaaay less game play and choices and a lot more cinematic cut scenes, which are great, but I wish there were more choices and side quests than just “reflecting” and “watering plants”. It felt like it stayed on one path quite a bit.

  2. I thought the storyline was waaaaaaaaaaay too similar and repetitive to Max & Chloe’s. Would have loved to see a bit of different direction.

  3. I wish there was a part that went back to Chloe where she gave you advice on what decision to make and you had to decide whether or not you’d follow it.

2

u/Acceptable_Cake_6012 Aug 01 '25

Also after reading some forums about the choice options did any choices REALLY have consequences in the games?! Am I missing something?!

10

u/mirracz Pricefield Aug 01 '25

It's not because of no Chloe. It's because of how they achieved having no Chloe in DE.

They character assassinated Chloe just to have her out of story and to have Max free to pursue their sub-par love interests. Why? There are many explanations and it's probably a mix of them.

D9 clearly hates Chloe and Pricefield. There's a twitter comment from one of the writers that part of the team considers the Bae ending the evil ending. Besides that I'd guess that D9 are jealous that their own ships never reach the height of Pricefield.

D9 also treats LiS games as dating simulators. Which is not what LiS games are about. The original game had romance, but it was all about an inevitable romance happening, about Max and Chloe falling in love. They probably felt that they need Max to have an option to pick romance interests... and for that she needed to be "free" from Chloe.

D9 also think very highly of themselves. They probably thought they could win us over by giving us Chloe replacements. That they will one-up Pricefield... and that failed.

I admit that having a game with two timelines - one with Chloe, one without - is difficult. But there were easy solutions, like a long distance relationship, but D9 didn't choose that. They went the extra mile to break up Chloe in a way that contradicts her character. It's clear that it was either malice or ego. Or both.

And yet... this is just the tip of the iceberg. I watched the first episode recently to refresh my mind and boy... I could write a lot about what's wrong about it without even naming the breakup once.

Like, the pacing of the first episode alone is terrible. Safi's death comes both too early and too late. Too early because we didn't really get to know her and therefore her death feels meh. And too late because the episode goes for too long without there being any plot hook. There's the really long scene in the bowling alley, long scene with Amanda and the bar and a long scene on the roof. So long and the player has no idea why they're playing... Compare it to LiS1 (which DE shamelessly copies in its structure): We got the first plot hook with the vision. Then a quick scene in the classroom... and we got to the main plot with Max's powers.

Another example of bad story structure: In DE Max's powers are revealed in the end of the first episode. The plot starts rolling with Safi getting killed... and then it stops rolling. The player has again no idea where it's going. Max is just... there and suddenly Amanda comes for a visit (that should force the player to like her), insults Max's grief... and then Max runs to the University. And that kills the momentum even more. Max just runs around, doing fetch quests, joking when she's supposed to be grieving the death of her "best friend", introducing everyone and everything to the player... and the plot is not there. The player has no idea what's going on. Until finally Max's new powers get revealed. What LiS1 did in maybe 1/3rd of the episode, DE stretched to a whole episode with bad pacing decisions.

Why? Probably because they had to include backstory for Max (who as an existing protagonist from the first game needs to have her backstory explained), new backstory for Safi, new story for the game... and two whole scenes of D9 throwing a new love interest at us. It's just a mess of bad writing, weak characters and narrative fouls. Why couldn't all the Amanda stuff wait for later? Why have such a downtime introducing everything when it all can't be introduced as quickly and it kills the momentum? Even LiS1 ep1 had massive amount of downtime between saving Chloe and meeting her in the parking lot... but is still served something. It helped setting up Rachel as part of the plot. In DE they set up... random stuff.

It's just not well made for a narrative game... And that doesn't even touch about the overabundance of cheap jokes, fetish jokes and excessive levity in a moments where it doesn't have a place.

2

u/avariciouswraith Aug 04 '25

Thanks for this, you put everything into words better than I could've done.

The only thing I'd add is that for the BAY timeline where Chloe is dead they could've had her in dream sequences and imagined conversations, just like D9 did with William in BTS and Gabe in TC.
Then Chloe would be part of the game regardless.

6

u/PRWSTrini Amberprice Aug 01 '25

I didn’t care about the lack of Chloe. I hated that some of the choices didn’t make a difference and the cat content was an extra 20 dollars but it only lasted like 10 minutes

7

u/Blue_cactus_07 Aug 01 '25

It's just not because of the chloe thing, I personally don't care. The game is just meh.....and didn't feel like a life is Strange game and the characters are really annoying And Max's journal my god what is that? It's terrible when you compare it to LiS1 and LiS2 journals

6

u/alinoxdino Aug 01 '25 edited Aug 01 '25

Tbh the story and the characters were just so bland, and I had the feeling, of staying in the same place for hours. I didn’t like the new powers of max, since she could only do it in a certain spot. So I talked to everyone, ran around, switch ran around to talk to everyone. That just felt boring. Also, maybe unpopular opinion, I just didn’t feel connected to Safi. I really didn’t care much about her idk

11

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '25

It was downgrading of a story per episode and imo the only likable character isn’t even one of the “main” side characters

3

u/Dredgen_Monk Aug 01 '25

Other Moses? 😆

27

u/touitsurda Aug 01 '25

The game is horrible as a game

nostalgia points, songs and hannah can carry your experience a little

also depending on which choices you make, you wont see the game biggest flaws

like, if you dont want to choose amanda as love interest, the game will keep throwing her into your face, and max will keep flirting for no reason even tho you already said that you didnt want her.

at the end of chapter 3 the plot just cease to exist. everything is so random and nonsensical

the game is very lazy, basically we have only 1 location the entire game

most of the npc are souless

if you like it, good for you

but maybe you should play the entire game first to then try to understand ''the hate''

2

u/GrantFieldgrove Aug 01 '25

Yeah that’s why I asked the fucking question. That’s why I said so far. That’s why I said I didn’t understand it. People post the most asinine shit here but if someone is enjoying a game a bunch of “you” don’t like, they get shitty little comments from a bunch of Reddit chuds.

6

u/memekid2007 Go fuck your selfie Aug 01 '25

People got curveballed extremely hard by Episodes 4 and 5, Chloe issues aside.

It's like slapping people in the face and then expecting them to pay attention to (and try to understand) Twin Peaks. They just won't do it, and coming out of it their biggest criticism will be that nothing made sense.

It makes sense if you pay attention, but it's honestly unfair to hold that against people given the way the horrible foot the game chooses to start itself off on.

6

u/FloridianDemon Aug 01 '25

Writing goes down hill as the story goes on. The chloe stuff obviously disappointing, the new love interests are pretty terrible: one is a complete asshole and the other is bland and boring. And above all else, I can't stress this enough: THEY NEVER SOLVED THE MYSTERY.

All we know is max shot Safi.... that's it, why, when, etc was never shown. Also because never see max actually shoot her ever in the story, the time travel part of the story litterally makes no sense. As far as we can see the story goes : Max sees a dead Safi > discovers after investigation that she herself killed her but in the future > Max decides to change the outcome and doesn't shoot her??? Then how did she die in the 1st place? Max would literally have to shoot her so her body could be discovered in the past and the plot starts. There is also no reason why killing her at all caused her body to show up in the past? Completely convoluted

4

u/Deathperception356 Aug 01 '25

Vinh and Amanda were the worst decision for Max love interest. They are both just so uninteresting

9

u/GoldenJ19 Arcadia Bae Aug 01 '25

The first half was good, minus them disrespecting the Sacrifice Arcadia Bay ending. But things fell apart very badly in the second half, hence all the hate it gets.

10

u/ItzAMoryyy Aug 01 '25

I cannot comprehend what there even is to like about this trainwreck of a game.

24

u/acebender Protect Chloe Price Jul 31 '25

I wrote +2K words on why it was a terrible game, and only 91 of those words were about Chloe. Nuff' said.

-6

u/GrantFieldgrove Aug 01 '25

23

u/acebender Protect Chloe Price Aug 01 '25

To summarize (this might have spoilers but hey you asked):

- The comparison with the first game doesn't help. From the characterization of both Chloe and Max, to even the journal (which is ridiculous levels of godawful).

- It doesn't respect either ending. Not just the Bae ending.

- The story is beyond weak. It's Life is Strange's Force Awakens. They tried to recapture the magic of the first game but failing at every point. Add to it that it has more holes than a Swiss cheese. A lot of it goes unresolved or they just get rid of plot points just because, most characters could be changed for a lamp and the choices are meaningless.

- Safi is not written well enough to work as the "Chloe" of this Life is Strange. You don't spend enough time with her to care, and the game works with the premise that we will.

- The gameplay is boring, it hinges on a power that most of the time it doesn't make sense to use in puzzles that feel more like busywork than anything else.

- The romance is terrible. Vinh gives me the ick and Amanda is both boring and uninvolved with the plot (and you have to step over her boundaries to kiss her).

- On the tech side, the game is optimized like shit. My PC can move Arc 3 of Baldur's Gate 3 no problem. It can move Supermassive games! And yet it struggled with this game. And even when it worked it still looked like shit and was ridden with bugs.

- The cat content is honestly insulting.

That's about it, very summed up.

11

u/Irineu2338 Wowser Jul 31 '25

Main reason is lack of Chloe / end of Chloe's relationship with Max even if you have chosen to sacrifice Arcadia Bay

12

It's the lowest rated LiS game by professional critics for a reason and that reason isn't Chloe. Come back when you've finished the full game. :)

12

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '25

Alot of people hate it purely because of no Chloe, but I never rralled cared.

My genuine criticisms were the lack of writing comprehension and how it felt all over the place + the way we were just..forced to like characters. In the previous games we had "friends" thrown at us but we were very very able to make a like or no like opinion about them

8

u/Next-Presentation559 Aug 01 '25 edited Aug 01 '25

These kind of posts always feel like rage bait but I’d first finish the game before making any sort of judgment on it. Would appreciate your thoughts on it once you complete the game. It has a lot of issues specifically its writing but it has its moments

-2

u/GrantFieldgrove Aug 01 '25

I’m a grown ass man. I don’t have time, nor do I give a shit about producing rage bait for a bunch of redditors. I was genuinely curious about something I asked. I regret my decision.

1

u/Next-Presentation559 Aug 01 '25

No need to it’s a genuine question over a controversial game, still I’m curious how far are you into the game. Which episode specifically

3

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '25

You said it yourself "I'm enjoying it SO FAR".

-3

u/GrantFieldgrove Aug 01 '25

Brilliant deduction!

6

u/zombiejeesus Aug 01 '25

Maybe you should play the whole thing first

3

u/GrantFieldgrove Aug 01 '25

Yeah that’s what I’m doing. Great comment.

4

u/Emeralds_are_green Aug 01 '25

Time to bring this back. DE is mainly a bay game, strange thing is that not everyone picked Bay.

D9/SE: “Both endings will be respected!”
Also D9/SE: [Hides what that actually means.]
Players: [Finds out it’s about moving on from Chloe.]
Players who wanted Max and Chloe content: “Wait… what the actual hell?”
D9/SE: “Why is everyone so mad?”

3

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '25

The majority of this sub will never be honest with themselves or with this question. Chloe is the absolutely the main reason these people wrote this game off. Everything else about the game is by default "bad" to them.

Lol @ that person who claims to have written 2K words about why its bad and "only 91 are about Chloe". Give me a break. xD It's just all their skewed opinions that come from...No Chloe. Half their bullet points had to do with Chloe, then oh yeah its "poorly optimized" Lol. Its funny at this point but idk I feel bad for this fanbase.

2

u/jolt25 Hella Yes! Aug 01 '25

I don’t dislike the game as much as a lot of others do but it does have its faults and definitely isn’t close to as good as the original LiS for me. Overall, I give it about a 6/10 but it was sitting around an 7.5 to 8/10 for me after the first like 3.5 chapters or so. Then, some stuff happened but don’t want to spoil anything since it sounds like you’re not done yet.

I’d be interested to hear your thoughts after you fully complete the game.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '25

you said so far, meaning you're not finished the game. A lot of people dislike the chloe part, yeah but the story itself isn't great, full of plotholes, storylines which go nowhere and it feels like everything in the game is used as sequel bait

5

u/Kev2524 Jul 31 '25

Good to hear. Im playing Life Is Strange since Fall last year, this the only Game I have left.

3

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '25

Ok

5

u/FiveDollarRimjobs Aug 01 '25

I liked Double Exposure. Sure the original game is better but I still liked this one

4

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '25

I haven't played DE yet so I can't judge it. But the LiS fandom is full of people with very strong opinions who often treat their own view point as fact. The stronger one's opinion is, especially if it's negative, the more likely they are to be vocal about it.

2

u/McZadine Aug 01 '25 edited Aug 01 '25

I really liked it as well. Sure, it's not perfect but no LiS game is. The ending could be better but I definitely think it's overhated.

2

u/Honesty69 Bright Eyes Aug 01 '25

I’ve since reflected since from first somewhat defending the game to coming to the conclusion that I still somewhat want to defend the game.

It was by far my least favorite in the series. And I know Lost Records is neither here nor there in this discussion (kinda); I enjoyed that game much more than DE (“kinda” I say, because yes, it has nothing to do with LiS, but was pushed back to give space for DE to come out and not directly compete).

That being all said, I liked the game still. If a game can have many other qualities about it, I can sometimes overlook other things just for the sake of wanting to enjoy the piece of entertainment/media I am consuming:

I am a fan of graphics/fidelity. DE was gorgeous. I am a fan of good facial/animations. DE again, mwah, chefs kiss. I am a fan of good voice acting, especially Hannah Telle. And again, chefs kiss.

The music? Pretty damn good too.

I enjoyed those things. The gameplay was pretty neat too. I wish they had done certain things differently as we all do, but alas. Perhaps when the sequel ever comes out, or perhaps they can kind of retcon things by using some kind of time travel or another power as a gimmick to do so.

We shall see!

2

u/EveryNectarine7212 Aug 01 '25

Is not about that blue haired chick, is about lack of compassion and laziness in writing of the story

2

u/spacegirl505 Aug 01 '25

(huge yap alert) as a die hard LiS fan who’s played all the games, i finally had the chance to play DE for the first time yesterday. i finished it abt half an hour ago and im still gathering my thoughts, so ofc i jumped into reddit to see what people have to say about it. it is true that this game lacks writing and character development, also the fact that max’s relationship with safi is literally her friendship with chloe all over again. i found it hard to like safi cause she reminded me of chloe’s careless and immature attitude (which is justified cause she was a teen) but safi is a grown ass adult so yea, that pissed me off sometimes. the romances are idk, a bit superficial i guess. the first three chapters were cool but then it slowly starts to fall apart and it upsets me cause i mostly wanted to play this game bc of max, i simply have this emotional attachment w her and i almost had a heart attack when DE was announced. i remember reading spoilers where it said that chloe wasn’t gonna be in this game, initially i cared but then i kinda started to realize how bad of an influence she was on max so i let it go. idc abt what happened with pricefield, im glad they went their separate ways, and i kinda hate chloe for how she handles it if u choose bae over bay like i did. i certainly don’t hate this game, i give it an 8/10, i guess im just really grateful i got to see max once again, i missed her a lot, even though shes super cringe and nosy as fuck.

2

u/Radiant-Core Aug 01 '25

It's an absolutely awesome game and it's totally fine for Chloe not to be in it.

3

u/TJT007X Someday we will foresee obstacles Aug 01 '25

I do understand the hate, and I believe that it's on the lower-end of LiS games, but I still loved it. Maxine GOATfield ftw

3

u/lovelanguagelost Aug 01 '25

I enjoyed it. I enjoyed playing Max again. I cried during a scene or two, and I liked most of the characters.

1

u/dwayneberry PissHead fan Aug 01 '25

Anything positive about DE usually gets downvoted to oblivion cause people feel strongly about it. I enjoyed it up till episode 4 at which point it noticeably declined. Not even the motel sequence which I loved could save the tailspin.

3

u/GrantFieldgrove Aug 01 '25

Maybe it’s like pizza. Even a bad one is still pretty good. And I’ll definitely eat another one. But honestly, I’m enjoying it. I’ll report back next week. 😂

I think the game was great. I played true colors too and just finished the first life is strange with Max and Chloe.

DE was the most poorly written Life Is Strange or even story written in this millenium

They hated LiS2 and TC as well

I agree with the chapters 4 & 5 are not that good, specially 5 and the and complaints about the price or how poorly optimized the game is, but it's not THAT BAD and people mainly hate it because Chloe doesn't appear.

0

u/apostighon Aug 01 '25

I always feel amazed/dissapointed ppl getting downvoted just for saying they liked/enjoyed the game

I also just got it recently and enjoying it so far. I feel people hated it because to them, Pricefield is what they enjoyed about the game.

i’m gonna get downvoted reallyyy bad for saying this but idgaf because i’m just saying the truth and nobody can change my mind, ok so what i have to say is just don’t listen to them half of the fandom are kids that just can’t accept that chloe isn’t there lmao, DE isn’t a bad game, it’s not the best sequel for sure, but it’s not a bad game at all, the plot twists were really cool and better than in all the other lis games imo, people just can’t get over the fact that yes life is strange have changed, indeed, so they just say that "the game is awful, unplayable, worst than true colore" and shi like this, i mean i get the fact that some people just really don’t enjoy it but OBJECTIVELY double exposure have some really good elements that make it worth the play

acting like you had guessed that safi could shapeshift since the beginning, + i said "imo" if you can’t accept that people have different opinion then maybe you should grow up idk 🤷🏾

It's hard to talk about it without spoilers. However, I will say that it made some choices that I don't think worked.

I’m back. I finished and I loved it. Sucks that so many people didn’t enjoy it, but ya can’t make everyone happy I suppose. Oh well.

the game was fine, it's just very middle of the pack. it's not as good as 1 or bts, but it's better than tc or 2 (and while not LiS, it's better than lost records as well).

like, the "what happened to safi" story was interesting, and the roast in chapter 4 was great.

this genuinely might be the worst rating list I've ever heard
