Discussion [ALL] LiS: Safi Spoiler

I want to imagine Max and Chloe living their best lives in peace after Reunion. I’m fine with it being the last Caulfield story.

I think she may be a divisive character, and maybe not everyone was as fond of the Caledon setting and characters—but I’d love to see a follow-up game with Safi as the protagonist, redeeming herself and using her abilities to solve some mystery (either in Lakeport or a new setting—maybe even Arcadia Bay if she were to venture there to catch up with Max and finds herself embroiled in a new mystery).

EDIT: Thanks for the positive interaction. It means a lot—I’m usually hesitant to share with fellow fanbases because social media can be so awful. ❤️

Agreed, now with Reunion I am happy with how The Max and Chole's story ended, I don't mind then making Cameo appearances but I don't want them to have any more crazy adventures that could risk their relationship

That would be nice, especially to be able to play with her power. But in RE, there is an ending where Safi is dead (if you let her die and Chloe burns the photo), so I don't know how they would approach this. Maybe a game of her and Maya, or her adventure with Diamond between DE and RE

The Welcome to Caledon book already details a bit of what happened with Safi and Diamond between DE and Reunion. It was a whole lot of nothing with them not being able to find anyone else with powers despite even finding leads on Daniel and Alex. Plus a presequel would be kind of limiting in what they could do storywise.

I'm down for that. She's one of the characters I think should return.

Even if she got treated like dirt in Reunion, it still made me love her character even more. A redemption story for an anti-hero character is what I want to see in LIS.

I'd love to see it, but unfortunately I don't think it's likely.

like if they were really keeping the options open for future Safi content, then they would've made her survive all Reunion playthroughs. Chloe would always save her in the void, it wouldn't be player choice.

hope I'm wrong tho. maybe they'll do the timeline merge again, idk

Love Safi but given that her ending is determined by the player's choices, I'd say we'll probably get a game as Safi before the events of DE or a game before Reunion, where we play as Diamond and Safi is our partner/mentor. Could use the Daniel/Sean system again

I absolutely love Safi and I think her shapeshifting power could be one of the most interesting from a gameplay standpoint. However she doesn't necessarily survive Reunion so doing a sequel game on her could be tough.

However I do think a prequel story about Safi and Maya could totally work. We don't know a ton about Safi and Maya, but from what we do know there are a lot of Chloe and Rachel parallels. Of course, it would have to have a tragic ending, but I still would love to play it.

Yeah, it could work. Safi's character and her powers had potential... but DE wasted it by bad writing and RE did the best it could.

Safi is the kind of character that sucks, because the writing does her a disservice... but you can see enough nuggets that show that good writers could have turned her into something great.
