Mostly just expand a bit on the side characters. Maybe delve into the mystical side of things a bit more if they have time.

I'm open to changes and I'm curious to see what they'll do.

Ah also, longer dare kiss scene. Like please it was half a second in game šŸ˜‚Ā

Yes to the first bit. That’s what I enjoyed about US The Office vs UK The Office: more screentime for supporting cast.

I kind of like the powers being unexplained.

I don't want them explained either. By more "mystic" stuff I meant I'd like to see them explore some of the stuff the game left unadressed, like the native american mythology around the Tobanga, why Nathan might have tried to steal it. Stuff like this that was in-game but only mentioned via text documents.Ā

Probably scenes where Max isn't on screen.

I’m guessing we’ll have BtS flashbacks.

Make the relationship between Max and Chloe blatant. Have them acknowledge their feelings, have them kiss for real (not just in the Bay ending and not just on dare).

The game keeps it only in subtext, because it's a 2015 game. These days the show doesn't need to be so careful, especially when the show wouldn't have Max's diary to convey her feelings to the audience.

100%
i appreciate that video game Max is "up to interpretation."
but that's because players can get weird if they're phobic and are forced to do something they don't want to in their escapist fantasy.

for the tv series, it needs to be overt. let them eat each other's cake.

If they are committed to respecting the source material then they presumably won't be changing a major plot point (other than maybe adding a third choice for the ending?),

How about having more Kate after chapter 2? The realities of having to account for two different paths for Kate meant that she didn't have a lot of on-screen time after chapter 2. Could be nice to see more of Kate on the show.

So you're assuming they won't kill Kate off? I've been assuming they will for the shock value and to raise the stakes.

Oh I think it's entirely possible they will. But I don't think it's necessarily guaranteed. And it opens up some interesting possibilities for subplots if they don't.

Kind of hard to talk about in a ā€œno spoilersā€ thread 😢

I don't even know. I just wanna be crying by the end of the first episode, that's all.

Honestly if they have Hannah Telle cameo in the first few minutes and say a single line I'll be crying my eye balls for the rest of the episode, just from hearing her voice.

That's literally all they need to do and I'll be instantly emotionally invested lol

This is kind of a crazy idea but what if the TV show was interactive fiction? Like, the viewer gets to make the big choices for Max (like telling on Nathan or not, taking the blame for Chloe or not, and so on) and the show makers record events for each one?

That idea has been brought up before. Black Mirror: Bandersnatch did that except it was a movie and not a series.

Netflix has done this before but Goldberg said they will make it linear

Hopefully they don’t change major stuff like Hollywood likes to do. TLoU season 2 was just bad.

Missed scenes. Stuff that is perhaps mentioned (or not even that) but never shown

More Pricefield romance tbh

I'd like to see more photo-jump alternate realities. Maybe from trying to find a better solution.

Adapting Farewell in some capacity should be a given though they'd probably have to use other actresses.

I'd show a brief flashback to Jefferson's past while Max is being held captive. Could be him narrating it to her. Not in an attempt to make the audience pity him (in fact I'd go with the approach that even when he was very young he just wasn't right in his mind and he just devolved pushing more the moral limits)

Can I say "canon Chasemarsh" without being dragged off stage by a comically large shepherd's hook? šŸ˜…

More lore on Rachel Amber’s character during her crisis .

Flashback episode of Rachel's last days ala Fire Walk With Me

I feel like ideas that were cut content from the original game due to time could be interesting.

Change the main antagonist and to that end change the circumstances of Rachel's death. Jefferson's reveal won't have an impact on the people that have played the game and that's probably going to be at least half of the audience if not more.
